Well… I survived. 😂

Good morning from a very tired artist after a full weekend at MK Handmade & Vintage.

Before I disappear into a vat of coffee and attempt to remember how my legs work, I wanted to say a huge THANK YOU. 🖤

To everyone who stopped at my stand, came over for a chat, told me which creature caught your eye, shared your stories, followed me, picked up a card or print, and especially those of you who chose to take one of my original creations home with you… thank you.

When you spend so much time working alone in the studio, it’s very easy to forget there are actual humans out there seeing what you make. Weekends like this remind me why I drag crates, ladders, paintings and half my natural history collection around the country. 😂

For today though, this particular artist is absolutely knackered.
Coffee first.
Everything else can wait. ☕🖤

Good morning from MK Handmade & Vintage! 👋🖤

We’re back for day two and the final day here at Middleton Hall.

After such a lovely day yesterday, I’m ready to do it all again. The stand has been rearranged, the gaps have been filled and there are still plenty of curious creatures waiting to be discovered.

If you’ve been thinking about coming along, today’s your last chance to have a wander, see the artwork in person and explore all the brilliant independent makers here this weekend.

And if you do come, please stop and say hello. 👋

Helloooo from MK Handmade & Vintage! 👋🖤

Everything is unpacked, the stand is finally finished and my little travelling natural history collection has taken over Middleton Hall for the weekend.

I’ve brought original paintings, reclaimed pieces, prints and lots of curious creatures with me, including some of the new work I’ve been hiding away in the studio recently. 👀

If you’re coming to MK Handmade & Vintage this weekend, come and find me, have a proper look through everything and say hello. I’d love to see you.

Here we go again… 😁

Standing in an empty space at Middleton Hall, before the crates, paintings, prints, reclaimed treasures and general organised chaos take over.

I’m at MK Handmade & Vintage this weekend and, right now, I’m feeling excited, slightly nervous and very curious to see how the next two days unfold.

I’ve brought lots of new work with me, including original paintings, pieces on reclaimed objects and plenty of prints, and I’m really looking forward to seeing everything together on the stand.

So this is the BEFORE.

Let’s see what happens… 👀🖤

Does anyone else spend more time thinking about what to post than actually posting? 😂

The ridiculous thing is, I’m not short of things to do. I’m busy in the studio. I’m painting, experimenting, learning things and making new work.

But then comes the other job...

Creating content about creating.

And sometimes my brain just goes completely blank.

I’ve also realised I’ve got myself into a slightly silly situation with sharing work in progress. I love showing you what I’m making, but a few people have messaged wanting to buy something they’ve seen before I’ve even finished it, photographed it or got it onto the website. 😂

So now I find myself wondering:

Do you actually want to see all the messy studio bits, experiments and paintings as they happen?

Or would you rather I kept some things under wraps until they’re finished and available?

Because apparently painting the things is only half the job. Then I have to think of something to say about the things.

And today...
I got nothing. 😂

What do you actually enjoy seeing from artists you follow?
