One of my favourite moments — opening the kiln after a glaze firing. It’s the final chapter of a much longer story.

Every piece in here has its own meaning.

Right at the top is a memorial stone for a much-loved family snail. Not just a marker, but a candle holder too — a little place to remember and reflect.

And then there are these shot glasses, made by the bride for her bridesmaids — something handmade to share together on her hen party, and a little reminder of that moment for years to come.

That’s what I love about clay.

It gives us time to slow down, think, connect, and turn an idea, a feeling, or a moment into something we can actually hold in our hands.

Because we’re not just making ceramics - we’re giving shape to memories.

Intermediate Pottery Course starting 5th November. You’ll learn how to throw tea pots, lidd ed jars and galleries, pull handles, and assemble it all together with confidence.

Classes are kept deliberately small so everyone gets proper
