we have grown so much this summer. So much colour, so much variety and so much happiness🌸💗😊. Alex is getting ready to sow some seeds for next year’s crop. I just love looking at seed catalogues😍. Alex is unquestionably the Queen of seeds. I’m excited to see what we will be growing and might add in a packet or two of seeds purely for myself. They are normally the flowers that are a bit “out there” like the prairie coneflower which I love but no one else does 😂😂😂😂.

Blimey Emory Paul is really going for it this year. She’s 6ft high with lots of buds and producing big old blooms of pink joy. I have to cut before it’s fully open or else the back petals go a bit floppy but otherwise she’s a beauty.

When Alex and I had to do four (others to follow) table arrangements for a friends mum on her 80th. We are not florists and have no training so it was just a very natural bunch of our flowers in a vase. I felt very proud to say we grew every single flower, 90% from seed ourselves in all four of the arrangements. By we (it’s very much the royal we) I mean Alex Alex Watkins who is a serial seed sower, and thank goodness she is. 🌸😊💗
