Facebook /Instagram advised me yesterday that I hadn’t posted on my page for over 77 days ! I have been rather busy helping out at a cashmere goat farm where I had the privilege of helping feed a number of bottle babies . 🐐
Just before I become totally distracted 🤪I did manage of finish off the first half of a commission making fabric bags . All made with lovely fabrics in a countryside theme .
I still have a small amount of shades left to sell at a knockdown price . When I get a moment I’ll post them . I can still take commissions for lampshades and have a wide variety of fabrics and Harris Tweed to choose from .

Put the new completed ceiling lampshade up today . Now all my shades are matching . Just need to get time to hang some art work to finish off the room .

I’ve not been in my craft space creating for a number of months but today that changed ! I prepped a 30cm ceiling shade for one of my bedrooms using one of my favourite Voyage Maison thistle fabrics . It’s to match the bedside table lamps I’ve already created . I also cut out 32 pieces of outer fabric for fabric baskets . This is for a commission . I’ve another 8 to cut before starting on the inner fabric and fusible interfacing . Phew 😥. It’s going to keep me busy .😀

The concentration has been real this afternoon 🤪. I decided to pick up my knitting needles for the first since the late 80’s! It’s actually a lovely kit my late mum had bought many years ago to create a lovely alpaca scarf . Not sure how I’ll fare with it as I’m finding a bit trickier now as I have arthritis in both hands . I’m just trying to adapt as I go along . Quite enjoying it which is good . Plus point is that it’s knitting up fairly quickly despite me being a bit slower and awkward than I used to be 🤣 🧶 🧶

Sadly not just Christmas markets 😢. Craft fairs have been “infiltrated “ with “businesses “ buying in bulk from Temu , wish etc and selling it on . Many items are labelled “hand Crafted” but they are hand crafted probably by slave labour in China . Think before you buy . Support a small business this Christmas by buying from a business who has put hours it thought , creation and time into making their items .

A huge thank you to Fyvie Primary School for organising a lovely Christmas fair . Thank you also to everyone who made purchases and looked at my items . Lamps , cards and art prints were bought and I’m very grateful for everyone who supports a small business .
