There's nothing so scary for me in my workshop as cutting up a piece of the most expensive wood I work with, Masur (or Karelian) Birch ❤️😍 Those with good eyesight will be able to see the price of one 50mm slab from the wonderful Woodwise UK Exotic Timbers Ltd 🤣 Chunking up with the Venom hand saw (I think they call it that because it tries to eat me...), then to the bandsaw. 75 blocks ready for stabilising from over £400 of timber 😎

For the first time ever, I am having to cancel attending a show 😭

With having three very successful shows in a row, I have had limited time to make more knives and I really need to spend the weekends back in the workshop to restock.

While the sales are very welcome, it does mean that I'll have to let down anyone who was hoping to catch up at Bosworth Medieval Festival later in the month. I'm really sorry, but with a full time day job, something has had to give. Hopefully those affected will be able to catch up at Chatsworth Fair in September 👍

Unusually for us, we're at a show in Scotland 😂 The Moy Country Fair is this Friday and Saturday at Moy, just south of Inverness. A beautiful part of our country, and a step outside the ordinary - a proper countryside show 😎 Tickets available online, so why not have a day out in the Highlands?

Been very quiet online, cos very busy IRL as the kids say 😂 this coming weekend, and stock of kitchen knives were low after the Scottish Game Fair and Battle of Tewkesbury. A lot of late nights, but pleased with the results 😁

If you're around the area, it's a great day out - loads of knights in armour, horses, living history, stands and stalls with all kinds of goodies, and the weather forecast is excellent all weekend. Why not come over for a grand day out 😎

It's 9:41pm, and I've just finished the last things before packing for the Scottish Game Fair at Scone Palace this weekend 😂 49 sheaths dyed, stitched and trimmed. Couldn't have done it without my brilliant Juki sewing machine - 4 years older than i am, and in much better condition 🤣 Oh, and some pics of what happens if you forget to take some gloves to wear when using Fiebings alcohol leather dyes 😜

Busy couple of weeks, especially in this heat 🔥😂 Getting ready for the Scottish Game Fair at Scone Palace weekend after this, so lots getting made up. The Eagle eyed might notice that the machetes are finally here, and a couple more Tsatira, or Greek Cleaver. Yes, despite the weather we will be open tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon 😁 To be honest, the shop is likely to be the coolest place in Muirkirk tomorrow, so why not come and say hi and get out of the heat? 😎 Been a very busy few nights trying to get stock done for the Game Fair at Scone Palace weekend after this.
