Peacefully at home, on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, George Massie Skinner, aged 87 and a half years. Much-loved husband of Ruth, father of Derek, Bruce and Graham, father-in-law to Laura, loving grandpa of Archie, Ruby and Hamish, brother-in-law and a good friend to many. Memorial service will be held in Bennachie Parish Church, Chapel of Garioch, on Tuesday, May 5 at 1pm, to which all family and friends are respectfully invited. Busy, busy.
My floor loom, now almost finished. What a learning curve. Used the Texsolv tie up system, this made things so much easier to make sure everything was level. The tie ups with pegs, took away fiddling with knots. Each of my shafts have different coloured heddle. So much easier to thread.
Thank you Mary Carol Souness for her help, advice. Such a respected weaver and always full of tricks & tips. She even accepts my arty approach to weaving, can keep me on the straight & narrow

Great day in the studio. Thank you to all who came and messages of support & encouragement. Special thanks to Mary Carol Souness who helped me re-tie my dryad floor loom with new heddles& tie up system. Ready for her new lease of life
