I need to share a really difficult post. I have some news I’ve been sitting with for a while.

Field & Folk Creative is closing and writing that still feels strange.

It was never an easy decision. But it is the right one.

Running my own little studio taught me more than I could have imagined, about creative work, about business, about who I am and what I actually need.

And somewhere along the way, it showed me what was missing.

So what’s next? I’m heading back into a studio. Part of a team. Learning, growing, being challenged by people who push me in ways that solo work simply can’t.

To every single person who trusted me and Field & Folk Creative with their work, their brand, their vision. This chapter mattered because of you. Thank you!

I can’t wait to show you what comes next.

Follow along to find out where the next adventure takes us.

A few days of quietly collecting images that have touched me in some way. Soft tones and textures. There’s something about gathering things slowly that lets you see what you’re actually drawn to.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful images:

Today I got to wander the streets of one of my favourite cities and peek into just some of the incredible creative studios as part of the From Behind Closed Doors festival.

From industrial designers and architects to artists and branding studios, the talent hidden in plain sight across this city. Unfortunately i just ran out of time, but thoroughly enjoyed visiting those i managed.

If you haven’t explored Wi******er’s creative scene yet, this weekend is the perfect excuse. Free entry. Real people. Real work.

🗓️ Still on tomorrow, 10am–4pm

Hello - i wanted to reintroduce myself and my local business - Field and Folk Creative, a multidisciplinary design practice shaping interior architecture and spatial design, creating spaces that don't just look beautiful they feel right too!

At Field and Folk Creative, we believe your environment should do more than function. It should restore, support, and quietly elevate everyday life.

From serene rural beautiful homes, through to osteopathy & physiotherapy clinics designed for wellbeing, or workspace pods designed specifically to suit your needs, or for those who need elegant branded business and retail spaces, every project we undertake is shaped by calm reflection, material sensitivity, and thoughtful intent.

Founded by Lucy Bunhill with over 20 years' experience across interior architecture, branding, and the creative industries, and an MA in Interior Architecture & Design, Field and Folk Creative is a studio where intentional design meets conscientious living.

We work with residential, commercial, and wellbeing clients globally. If you're ready to create a space that truly matters for the people who inhabit it and the story it tells, we'd love to hear from you. If you want to see a couple of our local previous projects, you can visit Delilah Boutique and Ritual - Alton & New Alresford. If you have a project or would like some helpful advice please do get in touch, we'd love to hear from you.

Your nervous system reads a room before your mind does.

The light. The texture beneath your feet. The weight of the air. That feeling you can’t quite place.

Within seconds of entering a space, you’ve already felt it and that feeling shapes everything that follows. Not consciously. Not deliberately. But completely.

This is why spatial strategy isn’t a luxury. Its psychology made physical.

Aesthetics and emotional experience are intrinsically linked.

How does the space you’re in right now make you feel?

I’ve been pretty rubbish with social lately, posting rarely and honestly, that’s been intentional.

With my Master’s deadline looming in the next couple of weeks, my focus has been exactly where it needed to be: deep in research, reflection, and design thinking. Sometimes presence here has to make way for growth elsewhere.

It’s been a wildly busy year full of finding inspiration, losing it, rediscovering it, and somewhere along the way, finding myself again through design.

There’s a lot I haven’t shared yet.
Recent client projects both commercial and residential moments of process, progress, and the quiet in-between. I’ll be sharing more of that soon.

For now, thank you for the patience, the pauses, and the space to go inward when it matters most. So thought I’d share some images from home, counting down the days and looking forward to seeing that soft light returning to us again soon….

Balance isn’t always visible but it’s always felt.

More to come 🤍

Phew it’s a funny thing this insta malarkey… I’m learning more about video editing now than I have for ages lol..!! So I’m trying this again…

When every project begins with an idea often loose, intuitive, and quietly full of possibility. This initial concept for the workspace pod that I’ve created for my masters started exactly there: exploring how a single self-contained space could support focus, calm, and deep creative flow.

As the design evolved, so did the intention. Drawing from a fusion of Japanese minimalism and Scandinavian warmth alongside the insight gained through extensive research, we shaped a pod that feels both grounded and inspiring. Clean lines, soft neutral tones, natural materials, and a balance of openness and enclosure to create a space that supports wellbeing while reducing visual and acoustic noise and offering personal control within a comfortable working environment.

This design direction wasn’t just aesthetic. It is purposeful:
✨ To create a micro-environment that supports neurodiversity
✨ To offer a sanctuary for focus within busy workplaces
✨ To bring sustainable, calming, biophilic-inspired design into everyday work rituals
✨ To remind us that small spaces can still hold big moments of clarity through negative space

Seeing early sketches transform into the final visual concept is always a powerful reminder of why thoughtful design matters.

Let me know what you think…

The design world has lost an icon.

Frank Gehry passed away on December 5, at 96 a true visionary whose bold ideas transformed architecture forever.

From the Guggenheim Bilbao to his shape-shifting Manhattan tower, Gehry’s work broke rules, bent forms, and reimagined what buildings could be. His fluid curves, playful structures, and fearless experimentation made his designs instantly recognisable around the world.

As we honour his legacy, we’re revisiting the landmarks and quieter gems that defined his remarkable career.

A pioneer, a rule-breaker, and an endless source of inspiration.
