A visit to RHS Wisley is always a source of inspiration, bringing fresh ideas, new plants and a renewed appreciation for the art of gardening. 🌿 It was great that Steven could come too!
It has been a particularly challenging year for gardens across Surrey, with so little rainfall, yet Wisley continues to offer an extraordinary display of planting, colour and seasonal interest.
Each autumn, some of the finest specialist plant exhibitors are invited to take part in the RHS Autumn Garden Show, bringing together an exceptional array of plants, craftsmanship and horticultural expertise.
As members of the RHS judging team, I was delighted to be entrusted with awarding each exhibitor their ‘Flowers Award’. 🌸 Judging against a set of carefully considered criteria, each trade stand was awarded between one and five flowers, recognising the quality of the plants, presentation, interpretation and overall horticultural merit of the display.
It was a busy and rewarding day, but we were fortunate to have some time to wander through the gardens too. There is always something new to discover at Wisley, from beautifully considered borders to the more exotic collections — and we could quite happily have spent the entire day exploring the Tropical House alone. 🌴
Another memorable visit to a very special garden, leaving us inspired, enthused and already thinking about next season’s planting.

Sometimes we just need to pause amongst the busyness and do something simple for ourselves. 🌿
A little breather from the treadmill.
As we head into the final trimester here on the flower farm, we’re taking stock of the season just gone and beginning to dream about the next.
There are still a few dried flowers to gather, but these beauties have already been woven into a little door ring — a piece of this season to enjoy for a little longer. 🌸
A reminder to slow down, pause and enjoy the simple things. 🤍

The Caunton Garden Society autumn show was well supported despite a challenging growing season . It’s always a pleasure for Steven & I to judge at the show , lots of wonderful exhibits bringing people together to celebrate the season .

🌧️🌸 The rain certainly didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits yesterday when Grantham Flower Club came for a morning visit!
There was lots of laughter, plenty of floral chatter, and, of course, some of Steven’s homemade cakes to enjoy afterwards. 🍰🌺
A lovely morning was had by everyone, embracing the rain that we’ve waited so long for. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying themselves despite the weather! 💚🌧️

Creating a bridal bouquet for a dear friend, fresh from the field 🤍🌿
It’s always such a pleasure and a privilege to be asked to make a bridal bouquet, but when it’s for a friend — and you’re also going to be a guest at the wedding — it feels a little different.
I made this one the day before, but after sleeping on it I just didn’t feel it was quite right… so what did I do?! Made a completely new one the next morning 🤣🙈
And you know what… it just felt so much better!
There’s something really special about using flowers fresh from the field for a wedding, especially when you know the bride so well. 💐
It was the most beautiful day, with a beautiful bride and her bouquet, and I felt very lucky to be a little part of it. 🤍🌿
