*MEET OUR MAKERS* Hi i’m Jo of Wild Iris Pottery. There is a distinct kind of magic in getting your hands dirty and turning a simple lump of clay into something that has never existed before. Based in the heart of Nottinghamshire, my pottery studio is dedicated to creating unique, one-off pieces—each with its own character and story. I’m rarely working alone, though. Hi, I’m Sarah (and Shadow) from Cauldron crafts. I started cauldron crafts as i love everything magical and witchy. In this whimsical realm, nimble fingers and creative minds conjure up charming needlecraft witches, mischievous elves, and delicate fairies, each one brimming with personality and a touch of magic. *MEET OUR MAKERS* Hi everyone, I’m Mike at Mike Knight Crafts

Since retiring, I’ve discovered a passion for creating quirky lamps and decorative pieces from items that might otherwise end up in landfill. I love giving forgotten objects a new lease of life and turning them into something unique, practical, and full of character.

One of the things I enjoy most is working on commissioned pieces using items that people no longer use but still hold special memories. Whether it’s a beloved guitar, a clarinet, an old telescope, camera, or something completely unexpected, I relish the challenge of transforming treasured possessions into something that can be enjoyed every day.

No two creations are ever the same, and that’s exactly how I like it.

A selection of my work can be found at Serendale alongside the beautiful creations of many other talented makers. If you have an idea for a commission or an item you’d love to see given a new purpose, I’d be delighted to hear from you via the Serendale shop.

I look forward to creating something unique for you.

*MEET OUR MAKERS!*. I’m Emma and I found glass fusing about 8 years ago, about the time I got chronically ill. One of the good things to come out of having to give up my career as an accountant was being able to indulge my creative side.
I’m heavily inspired by the garden and the beach, both of which are my happy places.
In fact FloralDene is old English for valley of flowers, or in my world a valley of glass flowers 🌺
I’m originally from Notts, and now live in the Vale of Belvoir with my husband Dave, dog Aksel and cat Halle

*MEET OUR MAKERS!* Hi, I am Mandy from Ansei Craft. Ansei was born in the pandemic when I discovered my creative side again. Decoupage became my passion and I started creating Light up Bottles, glass, tissue boxes, slate and many other items that can be decoupaged. I have developed and now offer a bespoke service where precious pictures can be transferred to rice papers and decoupaged into a more personal design, capturing special memories and milestone celebrations. I can now also turn old pictures into watercolours or charcoal drawings and this is illustrated on a display in the shop. It’s such a special and loving gift that can be transposed onto glass, slate or wood.
I am truly passionate about what I do and over the past years have perfected and grown my art, creating bespoke pieces for home and garden. I am very proud to be part of Serendale in Newark.

*MEET OUR MAKERS!* Hi, I’m Sophie, the owner of Saffiecraft. I’ve always adored all things floral and colourful, and I love bringing that joy into my work. My aim is to spread positivity through thoughtful, vibrant designs that brighten everyday moments.

I currently create prints, greetings cards and framed artwork — but I’m always exploring new creative ideas. For me, crafting is about sharing colour, happiness and a little bit of beauty with others.
