Another successful delivery completed! 🚚

After a 4-hour journey, we finally arrived at our customer's beautiful home in Wales to install their bespoke handmade furniture. It was well worth the trip, and we couldn't have asked for a warmer welcome.

Today we wanted to share a few photographs of our past retail showrooms and take a trip down memory lane. Over the years we've proudly had furniture stores in Boston, Grantham, Newark, and now our current showroom in Sutton-on-Trent.

As the pine furniture industry grew rapidly across the UK and Europe throughout the 1980s and 1990s, demand for quality handcrafted furniture continued to rise, leading us to open new showrooms, particularly across Lincolnshire. At our busiest we employed well over 30 dedicated members of staff, and it was their hard work and commitment that helped us build the business we have today.

As a family business, we're incredibly proud of the journey we've been on. More than 53 years later, we're still designing and manufacturing beautiful furniture, welcoming new generations of customers through our doors, and doing what we love. Thank you to everyone who has supported Roy Walker Furniture over the years—we couldn't have done it without you.

A little behind-the-scenes look at one of our current bespoke kitchen projects! 👀

This kitchen has been completely handmade to our customer's own design and has been developed alongside the full restoration and extension of what was once an old butcher's shop. With the property dating back several hundred years, it was essential that the kitchen looked as though it had always belonged there, blending beautifully with the original stone walls and the character of this incredible home.

It's been a fantastic project to be part of, and we can't wait to show you the finished result. We'll share another update once the worktops have been fitted and the flooring and walls have been completed.

We think it's going to look absolutely stunning! 🪵✨

Several weeks ago, we were approached by a customer based in London who was undertaking an exciting château renovation project in the South of France. The property was completely empty and required a bespoke kitchen along with a range of handmade furniture pieces throughout the home.

Every aspect of the project had to be in keeping with the age and character of the château, with a strong emphasis on creating an authentic rustic feel. To achieve this, we carefully selected reclaimed and salvaged timbers, each with its own unique history and character, ensuring every piece looked perfectly at home within the beautiful period property.

It has been an absolute pleasure working on this project from design through to completion. This morning, the furniture begins its journey south, embarking on a 752-mile trip and several days on the road before finally arriving at its new home in France.

A huge thank you to Tom and Kerry for giving us the opportunity to be part of such a fantastic project. We can't wait to see everything installed and finished—and we may just have to take you up on that invitation for a weekend stay once the château is complete!

We have just completed the installation of this beautiful bespoke rustic kitchen in a stunning period property in the Newark area. Designed to be in keeping with the age and character of the home, the kitchen has been handcrafted using timbers dating back approximately 200 years. A stunning large Belfast sink and chunky solid wood worktops immediately draw your attention, perfectly complementing the original floor tiles and other vintage features throughout the room. The result is a timeless kitchen that blends traditional craftsmanship with practical everyday living.
