**********FOR ADOPTION**********
Northumberland County Constabulary Hanger sourced from Wooler at the foot of Cheviot (a big hill). Victorian in date circa 1857 (founding year of the Force).
Attributed County Constabulary hangers are scarcely seen, the Northumberland ones very rarely offered for sale.

The Mk3 so called Brown River knife, this is the the first pattern with the clipped curved point that was prone to snapping. The second pattern did away with the point as it is shown here.

As they say you can’t keep ‘em all, so reluctantly I’ve decided to offer this rare piece for rehoming.

The Vickers P1913, only 1500 were made and all in 1917, made at Vickers Crawford factory. This example came from Hougton le Spring, a town just north of Durham City.
The rarity of these cannot be over emphasised (Vickers manufactured P1907’s is 10,000, and that’s considered rare!).
The P1939 frog is stamped 116 over /|\. This would suggest HG issue but how did one of 1500 get so far up North? I’m hoping to get some history of the piece in coming weeks.
The condition of the bayonet is superb.

A beautiful polychrome truncheon bearing the Percy (Duke of Northumberland) family crest. Dated 1918.
A bit shorter than the typical police truncheon and beautifully painted.
Most likely carried by a Warden of an Estate or a commercial property guard.
If anyone had other ideas then please comment

Sterling SMG bayonet, this is a rare Military issue piece, evidenced by the pheon stamp on the butt end of the pommel.
No markings on the blade at all as it should be.
Absolutely stunning and rare example.

AKM type 2 The bayonet was made at the Izhevsk Arsenal.
I’m no expert on these by any means so I have copied the text from the excellent website World bayonets . Com

Knife bayonet for use with the 5.45 mm. Pușcă Automată model 1986 (PA md. 86) assault rifle, a variant of the Kalashnikov AK74. The PA md. 86 is better known to collectors by its export designation, AIMS–74.
A copy of the Russian 6X4 bayonet, the Romanian AKM Type II bayonet represents a transition between the AKM Type I and Type II bayonets, mating the Type I scabbard with the Type II bayonet. The scabbard has a gray rubber insulator. The bayonet has a brown leather retention strap.

The Romanian triangle & arrow factory mark is very similar to the Izhevsk Arsenal mark used on Russian bayonets. The best point of identification is the fletching on the arrow. Fletching on the Romanian arrow is an outline, where the fletching is solid on the Russian arrow.

Unlike the AKM Type I bayonets produced by Romania, the AKM Type II carries only the last four digits of the rifle’s serial number, making it impossible to determine when this example was produced or issued.

It is unclear how many AKM Type II Transitional bayonets were made. However, they are comparatively scarce compared to the AKM Type I. Romania also produced a true AKM Type II bayonet, with the plastic scabbard. These are rare and seldom encountered.

What is very interesting indeed is the Iraqi badge affixed to the scabbard. It is known that these cap badges are found on Iraqi helmets circa 1990 during the Gulf War, it is also mentioned that some badged bayonets were found.
This is a vet bring back from the Gulf War.

**********FOR ADOPTION**********
Australian L1A2 with rounded fuller, so dating from 1960. I’d confidently assess this as mint unissued, the catch works but is stiff from lack of use. The blade is immaculate. Housed in a nicely stamped Australian frog.

**********FOR ADOPTION**********

WWII sabre (Degen) by Pack & Shone, with the iconic Siegfried with his hammer Trademark. This one has evidence of wear to the hilt that tells me it was carried a lot.
This came out of a private home and has never been in a collection before.
A lovely blade.
Pack made some of the best in my opinion.

**********FOR ADOPTION**********
The Chindit knife, an Indian Sub Continent knife procured by Ord Wingate for his Chindit Unit. These “private purchase” knives are rare to find, they are a beast of a knife. Manufactured from railway lines or leaf springs, they were made to last.
A rare opportunity these days to secure one.

Two walk ins from this morning’s fair, both these Argentine sidearms we’re bring backs from the Falklands Conflict. The M1909 machete is surprisingly matching numbers and the addition of its frog makes this a fabulous piece. The Type A FN FAL is also complete with its leather frog.
The chap who would have “acquired” these unfortunately succumbed to cancer. He was a member of 40 Commando. It was a pleasure to meet his daughter today.
