Ad| Okay yes… it’s still autumn, but I’m slowly drip-feeding you a little festive sparkle, just to get you in the mood.

I’ve been soaking up all the cosy autumn vibes. crunchy leaves, candles and pumpkins but I couldn’t resist sharing this absolute beauty from . How gorgeous is this laser stag?

It’s technically a Christmas decoration, but I think if I pop a witches hat on it, I could get away with just keeping it up from now until November 6th, which is officially when I start counting down for Christmas.

It seems I’ve officially skipped the Halloween aisle and gone straight to tinsel season, because last night I was invited along to the Christmas Launch PR event in Sunderland, and honestly… it’s hard to feel bad about being prematurely festive when you’re surrounded by baubles and fairy lights.

Apparently, it’s never too early for Christmas (though my half-carved pumpkins might disagree) but when the candles are twinkling, the Prosecco is flowing and there’s wooden ducks wear scarfs, resistance feels pointless.

It was such a treat to see some of the lovely North East content creators again and to finally put some new faces to the Instagram handles I’ve been liking and chatting with for ages

really have created something special, their shop is the kind of place that makes you want to start redecorating immediately, or at least buy a candle and pretend you have. If you haven’t visited yet, consider this your sign.

That’s right, beef netting… or any other kind of fine mesh or gauze would do the job 🤷‍♀️

This was last years effort, I’ve gone slightly different this year - I’m sure there will be a video coming soon. Anyway, this was super easy, super cheap and super effective and when it’s combined with my little coven of witches from and the Halloween scenes on my lights, it’s the perfect way to get a simple but effective Halloween look for your house.

I’ve had the loveliest day today, soaking up seasonal magic and creating content with my new venture, at the Autumn Equinox Retreat with .

Journaling, crafting, and the most intensely blissful sound bath - on days like this, my job doesn’t feel like work at all.

And after spending time with like minded souls and focusing on mindful reflections and self appreciation, coming home to cosy corners like this one feels even more special afterwards.

There’s just something about pumpkins by the fire, a cosy chair, and that golden autumn glow that helps to reminds me to slow down and savour the season.

The end of summer always makes me feel a little bit sad, but this year I feel nothing but appreciation and contentment. I’ve genuinely had such a wonderful year and I’ve got so much to be thankful for. A job I love doing, a home where I feel safe, a family who I adore and more bouclé pumpkins than I know what to do with.

Life is gourd.

What a whirlwind.

24 hours solo in London and Im coming back from the hotel with an actual award from for ‘Best Nursery and Childrens Bedroom’ for my beautiful little Heidi’s room.

Her first ever bedroom and the only room in our house that I actually DIY’d fully by myself, without anyone else’s help… Panelling, wallpaper, the lot. So it means more to me than you’ll ever know.

I know everyone is always like ‘oh I didn’t expect this’ when they win something like this, but I genuinely did not expect to be walking up on to that stage today. I hadn’t even planned my route through the audience or anything, so to hear my name be called, when I was up against such talent and 3 of the most beautiful and fun kids bedrooms on the ‘gram, was the biggest shock.

I’m very aware that, to get to the point of being a finalist, I was voted for by followers, friends and family, so thank you so much if you voted for me and helped me get to the final 4, which was judged by some wonderfully talented (and some quite famous) people. I honestly just wanted to be there today, to get to meet some of my favourite Instagrammers and swoon about London in a pretty dress, so to come back as one of the winners, is the biggest honour.

Thank you also to , who sponsored my award, to the gorgeous who presented it, to who is the driving force behind the whole event and congratulations to all of the other winners and finalists. What a ridiculously bunch of talented people to be all day in one room.

Also need to say a huge huge thank you to the most beautiful and her amazing husband John, who have been the best London companions, helping me to find my way around and basically just making sure I survived and made it back home in one piece. Thank you, a million times.

How mental is that though?!? I actually won it 🥹

Ad|PR - I’ve only gone and upped my bedding game again and made it so blummin’ comfortable, that getting out of it is a real effort these days.

Nice bedding makes the world of difference to your sleep quality. Ever wondered why you sleep better in hotels? I swear, it’s their ten million thread count, goose feather duvets and super soft mattress toppers.

Well, I’ve brought that hotel luxury to our bedroom with our new Mattress Topper, Charcoal Terry Mattress Protector and Anti-Allergy Mattress Encasement and there’s only one downside to this level of extreme comfort… everybody in the house wants to be in our bed now.

And yes, I did have to test it out the second the bed was made and yes, I did fall asleep within a few minutes of taking this photo 🤷‍♀️

I don’t really post the bathrooms in our home much. It’s not that I don’t love them, because I do. They’re all a lovely mix of calming neutrals and practical functionality but I never feel like there’s anything ‘stand out’ about them.

They’re just a bit understated really but, after having such bold colours in our last home, that’s exactly how I wanted them to be. I go in the bathroom to calm down and relax, so I tried to not have them too over stimulating and giving more ‘spa vibes’.

With tiles from floor to ceiling, there’s not a lot I can really do to change the feel in the bathrooms anyway, so updating the plants and towels is usually the way to go.

These beautiful neutral striped cotton towels from are currently feeding the need for stripes in my home (yes, I’m considering painting the bathroom ceilings with stripes) without me having to even crack open a tin of paint. Win win 🤷‍♀️

How else can I change the feel of our bathroom without any major makeovers? Suggestions are very welcome!

Back to reality after the most chilled few days at , where we did nothing but relax, eat and listen to the birds.

A personal highlight for me was the complimentary use of their woodland sauna, which was the perfect spot to lie, meditate and watch nature do its thing.

After that I had an outdoor bath where I sat for way longer than I should have, surrounded by bubbles, listening to the leaves rustle in the trees and the birds singing their late afternoon song, which is exactly what I wanted to do to celebrate my birthday.

We’ve seen deer, red squirrels and a whole host of beautiful birds.

We’ve explored abandoned buildings, went on woodland walks and my husband has treated me like a queen, serenading me, cooking for me and allowing me to live my best woodland pixie life.

If you’re looking for a spot to retreat from society and get back to nature, then this is it. I honestly could not recommend enough. They’ve thought of everything to ensure you have the most relaxing time when you visit and the decor is beautiful - modern and contemporary, with a rustic woodland twist.

I’ve had such a lovely time, dragging my birthday out over the last week. Thank you to everyone who has been part of it!

I’m not quite done with all the fun yet though, because we’ve got a honeymoon to pack for next!

If this is 40, then I’m totally ok with it 🤷‍♀️

Okay fine… I’ve officially caved to the frills and stripes trend — and honestly? I’m not mad about it 💅

This cushion cover from might just be the best addition to my bedroom lately. It’s bringing ‘cottagecore’ with a boho twist, and it fits right in with my cosy corner of calm vibes.

Seriously though, their homeware is such good value for money. You don’t actually need to remortgage your house to make it feel like a home.

Decor can be dreamy and doable. Head over and check them out for yourself!
