There’s something particularly special about a project where the client is prepared to make choices that are a little less expected.

Rather than following a conventional kitchen layout, this space is driven by proportion, texture and detail. The full-height cabinetry draws your eye upwards into the incredible ceiling height, while the recessed sink area creates an architectural feature in its own right — framed in timber and finished with a beautifully understated textured stone splashback.

So… where does all the steam actually go? 👀

If you’ve never used a venting hob before, the idea is really simple.

Instead of having an extractor hanging above your hob, the extraction is built into the hob itself, pulling steam and cooking smells downwards as you cook.

And yes — it really does work. Have a watch of the first video 👆

We fit quite a lot of BORA hobs in our kitchens, particularly on islands where we don’t want a big extractor interrupting the view across the room.

BORA were one of the pioneers of downdraft extraction and have really refined the technology. They’re powerful, surprisingly quiet and, importantly for us, they look fantastic in a finished kitchen.

It’s hard to believe that this is the same space. Designing a space that can be used for multiple functions can be tricky, especially when the room is narrow but this layout allows for cooking, entertaining, dining and soft seating.
Thanks to Bulldog Building for executing the building work and install.

Kicking the week off with these beautiful images 🧡
This in-frame kitchen may be neutral in colour but it certainly packs a punch. The porcelain cabinetry paired with this statement worktops is a showstopper.

We can’t forget the statement drinks storage and matching media units that pull this space together.

A lot of hard work went into this one - beautifully installed by
