Fan Making Workshop at

This was the very first workshop I’ve ever hosted in my life!

Together with Katie, and Corey behind the scenes organising everything, we ran our Fan Making Workshop at SunnyCon, and it went far better than I could have imagined. I was so worried it would be underwhelming, but Katie added her magic there and turned it into something special.❤️

We were amazed by how many people came along. We even had extra attendees turn up on the day, and thankfully I prepared additional kits so everyone could join in. Seeing every seat filled and so many people excited to create was incredibly rewarding.

What impressed me most was everyone’s creativity. It was wonderful seeing how each person took the same materials and turned them into something completely unique. Every fan had its own personality, and I loved seeing all the different ideas come to life.❤️

As this was my first time hosting a workshop, I was definitely nervous beforehand, but your enthusiasm, kindness, and support made it such an enjoyable experience. Thank you to everyone who attended and made it such a memorable day. ❤️

What a day!❤️

Yesterday, I was gifted an opportunity to attend the very first Get Known Summit hosted by , and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity. The event featured six inspiring speakers who shared valuable insights and practical advice.

One of the highlights of the day was finally meeting Frankie ( ) from in person.❤️

When I first started my business, I applied for the GBEA Young Entrepreneur of the Year award during one of the most challenging periods of my life. At the time, my weight had dropped to just 39kg (around 6 stone), and my confidence was at an all-time low. Even though I submitted an application, I never truly believed I could win anything. My mindset was very much, “Who do you think you are?”

So when they asked for a photo, I uploaded one from 10 years earlier because I didn’t feel confident enough to use a recent one.

Then one day, I saw my name on the shortlist. I screamed, jumped on the sofa, and celebrated. It was the first thing in a long time that had genuinely excited me. Although I didn’t win the award, that recognition gave me the encouragement I needed to keep going, and thanks to that perseverance, Tian’s Gifts is still here today.

In fact, I kept everything they sent me as a finalist, even the cardboard box it arrived in. Printed on it were the words, “You are a Great British Entrepreneur.” It might seem like a small thing, but at that point in my life, I really needed to hear those words, and I still treasure that reminder today.

Fast forward to today, we are so proud to sponsor the notebooks for this event. I hope attendees filled them with valuable takeaways and that they’ll continue to be a useful companion long after the summit.

It was also lovely to catch up with , whom I met through , another fantastic networking community where you genuinely get to know people beyond the business card.

I thoroughly enjoyed the day and left feeling inspired.
