What a fantastic weekend teaching my Dressmaking Beginners class! ✂️✨

I had such a lovely group of ladies—great energy, lots of laughs, and a real sense of teamwork from start to finish.

We tackled some tricky pattern tracing, got to grips with handling and cutting jersey fabric (never as simple as it looks!), and built confidence using sewing machines.
We also worked through size adjustments to get the perfect fit—and I’m so proud to say we ended the weekend with four finished t-shirts! 🙌

So much progress in just a couple of days, and such brilliant chemistry between everyone. It’s always amazing to see skills grow alongside confidence.
Thank you all for making it such a fun and rewarding weekend 💛

Yesterday was my first monthly upholstery class at the Linton village hall and what a fantastic session it was!

It was great to see everyone dive into their projects, no matter the stage they were at.

Amanda brought along a small chair she’d started at home and felt stuck on — by the end, she’d worked through the tricky parts and made brilliant progress, almost finished.
Sue and Sue were busy transforming their dining chairs, finishing two and, more importantly, leaving with the confidence to carry on the rest at home.
Cheryl got started on a much bigger project and headed home full of ideas (and a bit of homework to keep her going!).
That’s exactly what these sessions are all about — building skills, confidence, and making real progress on projects that matter to you.
