🧵✨ Celebrating 150 Years of Lace in the Irvine Valley! ✨🧵

What a fantastic day celebrating 150 years of lace-making heritage in our valley! ❤️

We had the pleasure of hosting two fantastic tours today, sharing the incredible history, stories and craftsmanship that have made our valley so special for generations.

But this celebration isn’t just about looking back at our past — it’s also about celebrating the amazing skills, talent and craftsmanship that are still very much alive in the lace industry today! 🪡

We would encourage everyone to take the time to visit the Town Halls in Newmilns, Darvel and Galston, where you can discover and hear all about the fascinating history of lace-making in the Irvine Valley, the people who shaped the industry and the remarkable skills that continue to this day.

It’s something we should all be incredibly proud of, and a wonderful reminder of just how much talent and heritage we have right here on our doorstep. ❤️

Celebrating 150 years of the Lace Industry in the Irvine Valley was a huge deal and we were proud to donate our textiles and materials from around the mill to a local nail & beauty salon
A celebration was held during the local gala day and LJ Beauty won the best dressed window. Well done for everyone’s efforts to make this happen 🧵🧶
