Real Couple: Kia and Josh

Meet one of our 2026 Nearlywed couples, Kia and Josh, who celebrated their beautiful wedding at Sneaton Castle Whitby

From a proposal that took a few unexpected turns to a pastel wildflower theme bursting with colour, their wedding day was full of special moments. And of course, our Confetti Carnival mix was there to add a little extra colour to their confetti moment!

We caught up with Kia and Josh to hear their love story, the details behind their big day and their advice for couples currently planning their wedding.

21 years of Shropshire Petals. 🌸🙌

What started as a little idea on our family farm in Shropshire has grown into so much more.

After years of keeping flowers on the stems, the Bubb’s began experimenting with removing the petals to create something new, biodegradable petal confetti.

And from there, Shropshire Petals was born.

21 years later, we’re still growing flowers on the family farm, hand picking and drying our flowers to create natural petal confetti, dried flower bunches and arrangements.

We’ve grown, we’ve changed and we’ve embraced new ways of doing things, from solar-powered planting and weeding robots on the farm to our new, energy-efficient home and continuing to work towards more regenerative farming practices.

A lot has changed along the way, but some things haven’t.

We’re still a family farm, passionate about growing real flowers and creating something sustainable and beautiful for your biggest moments.

And we’ve got something special planned for our birthday this Thursday…

15.10.26… watch this space.

Why choose dried flowers for your wedding?
A few reasons we think dried is a beautiful choice.➡️

They last all day
No wilting, no drooping, no need for water.
Your flowers can look just as beautiful at the end of the day as they did at the start.

You can plan ahead
Dried flowers can be prepared and styled well before the big day. One less thing to worry about as the wedding gets closer.

You can be just as creative
From bouquets and buttonholes to arches, installations and table arrangements, you can be just as creative with dried flowers as you can with fresh.

And they make beautiful backdrops for your wedding photos, too.

You can keep them afterwards
Your bouquet and arrangements don’t have to be packed away after the wedding.

Keep them as a beautiful reminder of your day, or share your flowers with family and friends.

Molly 💖💍🥂 and George absolutely nailed their petal confetti moment, and that dip kiss at the end… chef’s kiss! 🤌

Molly opted to create her own bespoke blend using our Pick & Mix confetti, combining Icing Sugar, Candy Floss, Cherry Blossom, Promise rose petals and Envy hydrangeas, and we think it looked cracking!

It’s so easy to create your own unique mix. Choose from our collection of delphinium & wildflower petals, large rose and hydrangea petals, and we’ll hand mix your perfect blend for you.

Ready to create yours? Pop over to our website via the link in our bio and give it a go!
