It's a sorting day for me today along with updating my to-do list and as I ended yesterday in a bit of a kerfuffle and acting a bit like a headless chicken 😳

I'm hoping to book a few markets through November and I need to do a stock-take of current stuff so that I don't duplicate anything at all (still on the stock-reducing march!).

However, I also plan to try out a couple of new ideas that I think will be original and gift-worthy without buying anything new - now there's a challenge!

How did I only just realise that it's Winnie the Pooh's 100th birthday today 🤦🏼‍♀️

I adore this little bear and read out many of his adventures to my kids when they were little.

I have a small selection of embroidered art depicting memorable antics of the early books and before you ask, these particular designs are now out of copyright.

I'll pop the other designs into an album tomorrow, just drop me a message if you'd like any - lovely designs for a nursery or playroom 💖

Last night I tested out a new keyfob design and whilst the little hedgehogs are adorable, I wasn't overly happy with the end result 😞

To be fair, the design was great but in this instance, my favourite fabric of faux leather didn't suit the project - the stitching was too dense and needed a 'softer' option.

I've then testing it using felt and the stitch out was vastly improved BUT felt is not as hard wearing as faux leather so I've had to top it with clear vinyl for protection.

I'll be finishing both options today and will make a decision on which (if any) are suitable - I do find vinyl reduces the quality look I'm after but if the faux leather splits then that's no good either 🤷🏼

I'll be back with an update soon and will appreciate your thoughts.

My labrador keyfobs are just flying out of my workroom at the moment so I've had to make a new batch to keep up with demand!

I've had a lovely weekend away with friends and we went on a Mystery Bus Tour - loved the imprint made on my cocktail in one particular venue we visited! 🍸

Now though, my to-do list is rather long for both home and biz jobs - we want to redecorate our bedroom before Christmas and I'm also considering signing up for a few Christmas markets 🎄

I hope you've had a lovely weekend too and feel ready to tackle the new week. I just hope your to-do list isn't as long as mine!

Sorry for the absence but we have finally moved Daughter No.2 into her new abode in South London 🎊

After a Krypton factor challenge of packing the car (my generation will understand the reference!) and also completely filling the back seat and a top box, we made the three hour drive to London on Tuesday.

The journey was two hours of easy motorway driving then one hour of driving eight miles through London traffic - bonkers! 😳

Then it was off-loading, moving everything up three flights of stairs (no lift), unpacking, lunch at a fabulous garden cafe three doors away, food shopping, Prosecco-toasting, a meal out and then collapsing into bed in our fabulous room at The Half Moon Pub.

If you are ever in the Herne Hill area of London, I highly recommend The Half Moon, friendly staff, great beer/wine, lovely atmosphere, stunning rooms and THE most comfortable bed I have ever slept in 😴

Now we're back home and it's time for me to concentrate on Jared Designs again.

I need to decide what product ranges work well for Christmas whilst planning a huge stock clearance of my workroom at the same time! 😅

Yay, welcome October, my favourite month of the year! 🍂

FINALLY!!! 🎊

Daughter No.2 has secured a lovely flat in London, leaves home today and starts her PhD on Thursday 🍾

It's been a stressful time getting everything sorted but it's finally come together at the last minute and we can all breathe a sigh of relief!

I'll be back in business-mode soon once I'm happy she has settled 😘

Friday already?

Seriously, I had so many jobs to do this week and I've only managed to do a few 😫

I think this weekend calls for a reset and a plan so that I can close down some tabs in my brain and have a more productive week next week, both personal and professional.

An early and misty start to my day as I've already been to drop Daughter No.2 at the city centre bus stop for her to head to London flat hunting again 🤞🏻

Now for my first cuppa and to resist the urge to return to my duvet!!!
