I was asked by Caerphilly Dragons Ladies Football Team to create a wreath to be placed at the memorial in Aberfan after their memorial football match today.

To say it was a privilege and an honour would be an understatement. In over 40 years of floristry, I think this is the most meaningful wreath I have ever created. For me, it is probably my best work because of the sentiment behind it and everything it represents.

Every flower was placed with care, thinking of those who lost their lives and the families and community whose lives were changed forever.

Sixty years on, we remember the children, the teachers and all those who never came home. We also hold in our thoughts those who have carried that loss through every day since.

Remembered with love. Never forgotten. ❤️

Thanks to Jo Rhodes for her expertise on the ribbon ❤️

Sending all my love to the family and friends of Rhyan Freeman today as they say their last goodbyes .
My heart goes out to you all as you say goodbye to someone so dearly loved.

Ryan was such a lovely boy and will be missed by so many. There are no words that can ease the pain, but please know you are in my thoughts today and in the difficult days ahead.

Rest peacefully, Rhyan . 🤍
