Professional interior design consultants offering exemp

Caroline Palk and her husband, Simon Bantock founded Ashton House Design in 1992, and set out their stall to offer an exemplary design service to discerning clients in the Westcountry. Twenty two years on, and working from magnificent showroom premises in Ashburton (the gateway to Dartmoor), Ashton House Design offers far reaching, comprehensive and professional interior design consultancy with an outstanding service to both private and corporate clients. They were proud to be listed as number four in the Top 20 Interior Designers in Britain by The Telegraph. The magnificent showroom is a wonderful asset, allowing us to showcase much of what Ashton House Design has to offer. Open 9.00am - 5.30pm, Monday - Friday and Saturdays by prior appointment only, the showroom also stocks 'buy off the shelf' furniture, furnishings and accessories. On the first floor is one of the larger fabric libraries in the South West, where over coffee, curtain requirements can be discussed or upholstery treatments determined.

It’s not every day we get the chance to visit a stone quarry…

We recently had the opportunity to visit Artorius Faber and it left us feeling incredibly inspired by the possibilities of natural stone and how materials like this can create truly amazing design solutions.

For 30 years, we’ve been lucky enough to call this beautiful part of the world home.

We love the natural beauty that surrounds us, but we’re equally proud to be part of such a wonderful local community. From independent shops and unique finds to fantastic places to eat, drink and explore, there’s so much to discover.

We’ve watched the town evolve over the years and have always believed in the incredible businesses and people around us.

Our North Devon coastal home features a striking decorative timber wall panel, handcrafted from recycled Acacia wood. Its natural texture and mineral tones create a calming first impression in the entrance hall.

To make the most of the long kitchen and dining space, we created a cosy seating area at its heart. Complete with a wood-burning stove, a soft navy sofa, and a welcoming atmosphere, it’s the perfect spot for relaxing and bringing family and friends together. 🌊
