After 28 years of wodturning and 14 years as a professional turner it's time for me to step back from full time turning. Years of heavy work as a plumber, woodtuner and lately milling timber has caused me issues especially with arthritis in my neck and this isn't getting any better. If I continue as I am it could make the condition considerable worse.

It's been an amazing experience, and I'm massively thankful for all your support and encouragement over the years.

I'll be winding down at my workshop and I'll be selling off a lot of my equipment and tools etc over the next few weeks so I'll advertise a day soon.

Now I'm excited to be off on another adventure and have started work with my son to help him with his leathercraft' business. So back to being an apprentice!

Hopefully I can continue to do a bit of wood turning for my own pleasure and continue to do some demonstrations and teaching but my days of turning 30+ bowls for craft fairs is over.

Just finished setting up at the charity Fairwinds Art Exhibition at Cowes Yacht Haven. Open from 3pm this afternoon and on until 4pm Monday 4th May.

A Mulberry ball and base made today for the Fairwinds art exhibition at Cowes Yacht Haven. On all weekend from 3pm Friday 1st May until 4pm Monday 4th May.
Come and see some of the best local artists and crafts people.

A productive afternoon milling up all the short lengths of tree we've had sitting around. Some Spalted Beech, Elm and Holly have given us some nice boards and a few blanks for vases. Now I've got to get ready for the Fairwinds Art Exhibition at Cowes Yacht Haven from the 1st to the 4th May
