Aberdovey is set for an action-packed day as gravity-powered soap box carts race downhill along Copperhill Street, cheered on by crowds lining the route.
For anyone new to it — a soap box race is all about homemade carts with no engines, powered purely by gravity, creativity and a little bit of bravery. Teams design and build their own carts, then launch themselves downhill competing not just for speed, but for style, imagination and entertainment.
Expect wild designs.
Expect fancy dress.
Expect fast, funny, creative and completely mad ideas flying down the hill 🏎️
It’s part race, part spectacle, part organised chaos — and that’s exactly why everyone loves it.
