Glass by Sally and Margaret

Glass by Sally and Margaret Hand made glass After 36 Years of working in an office I decided it was time to try something new. Each piece is unique and we loved making each and every one.

I’ve always been creative and wanted to do something that would combine creativity with my need to challenge myself technically. Glass is perfect, there are so many things to make, different techniques to learn and develop it could never get boring. This page contains glass made by me (Sally) and my mum (Margaret). Our glass is very precious to us I am not keen to send larger items in the

post or by courier. I am happy to personally deliver within a 15 mile radius of Moulton and if like our glass but live further away, please message me. More pictures of our glass can be found on Instagram

All of these beautiful pieces were made on my workshops. I still have room on my Flowers workshop at Lamport Hall on Thursday 21st May so if you’re free why not give it a go.
People often say they find it hard to be Mindful but find they can naturally block the world out when concentrating on creating a beautiful piece of glass. My workshops are alway relaxing and fun.

What a fantastic weekend at Lamport Hall. Thank you to all of my customers and to everyone who came in for a chat. As usual no one got past me without one of my leaflets being thrust at them and I’ve been blown away by the enthusiasm for my workshops at lamport_hall. I look forward to seeing many of you on a workshop soon.

I had a great pitch this weekend which was three times bigger than usual for me, great for displaying my glass, not great for packing away. It usually takes me an hour to pack up and I’m always the last to leave. Today with three time the glass it took me over 2 hours.

Thank you to the Lamport Hall staff for organising such a great event and a special thank you for not pressuring me to get rush at the end of the day.

I’m really looking forward to this weekend at the Lamport Makers Market and Food Festival at Lamport Hall

I have a really big space in the Brewers Yard Studios so will have some of my pieces that I would usually only display at art exhibitions or galleries.

It’s going to be a great weekend 😁

This is my next workshop at Lamport Hall.

My style is abstract but as you can see from the pictures you are not restricted to making a piece in my style as I will help you achieve your own design.

The workshop is suitable for both beginners and those with some experience as the small groups allow me to give everyone the attention they need to design and make a beautiful piece of glass.

You will have access to all of the tools and safety equipment required to make your piece as well as a wide selection of transparent glass and pre-fused cabochons (pre-fused chopped up glass) to create your design.

Depending on the complexity of you design and the speed you work, it may take the full four hours to make your sculpture. Others may finish much faster. To allow for the different speeds and designs I alway bring along a second small project such as a light catcher which is included in the cost of the workshop. For those that work super fast and have time to make a second piece I charge an additional £25 to cover the cost of the glass and kiln firings

After the workshop I will take your glass home and fire them twice in my kiln. They will be ready for collection from at Lamport Hall.

For my workshops in June and July at Lamport Hall I am trying something different. Rather than a workshop making something specific I am going to run a 3 hour workshop in June and a 5 hour workshop in July and you will be able to choose what you make from a list – great if you come with a friend but you both want to make different things.

Both workshops are suitable for beginners and those with more experience and the small group size of 8 means everyone gets the attention and help they need to make a beautiful piece of glass.

At the 3 hour workshop you can choose from the following:
Holey Moley Bowl ~ Flowers Wave ~ Flower Candle holder ~ Large Heart Hanging Ornament ~ 2 trinket dishes ~ 3 light Catchers ~ 3 heart light catchers

At the 5 hour workshop you can choose from the following:
Various shaped dishes and bowls up to 20cm sq ~ Stand-up curved Sculpture ~ Stand-up Wave Sculpture ~ 30cm x 10cm Garden Glass Panel (£15 additional charge for a copper frame) ~ Butterfly ~ Dragonfly ~ Candle holder

There’s still time to book a space on my next workshop at Lamport Hall
