This week I mastered drilling seaglass. It was a bit of a mission but I found a technic that worked in the end. Seaglass collected on the beautiful beaches of Cornwall. Each piece unique; years of rolling around on the sea bed. Little pieces of treasure 💕

It's been a while since I have posted. When grief overwhelms me I seem to be effected by artists block; which is strange as some become more creative during darker periods of life.

This month is the 1st anniversary of losing my Mum. Having spent the last few years caring for her through kidney failure and dementia this year there has been a year of periods of emptiness to fill. (not mention the sh*tty c19 and the abhorrent situation in the Ukraine)

Being creative and my garden have been a huge comfort, but at times I come to a stand still and struggle to do the things that I enjoy most.

Suddenly today, just like a switch, it's back! Working on a mixed media, collage journal/album of my childhood with my siblings.

I have pages I have printed on drying, ready to bind and a large variety of various additions to you use with my collaged pages. Although the pages will be bright and colourful the photos I'm have chosen to use are B&W. Let's see how it turns out. Will post my progress as it comes together.

Does anyone else do journaling? Does it help 🤔or are we just filling a void? What helps you through tough times?
