RiverKnits Hand dyed colour - Adventure in the making Hi and welcome to RiverKnits! We have a strong focus on sustainable sourcing and natural fibres.

RiverKnits is run by us, Becci and Markus, and we dye British wool yarns from our studio by the Grand Union Canal in Weedon Bec, Northamptonshire. RiverKnits is all about hand dyed colour, combining the traditional material of wool with original dyeing techniques to create exciting new ways of making. That’s why all RiverKnits wool yarn is grown, spun, and dyed in Britain.

Becci here! I’m loving this sock project. I had leftovers after swatching all the Beachcomber colourways and knowing how well they’d work as a fade set, I started knitting these socks. I’m simply striping the old colour with the new for a few rounds to manage a nice pleasing transition. Fun colour changes always keep me knitting - even on the second sock! 🧦
If you fancy making your own, the Beachcomber mini set has plenty of yarn. You wouldn’t even need a contrast heel and toe, but we do have individual mini skeins should you wish to. 🧶

Hi folks,
Sorry to do this at such short notice, but we have made the decision to cancel our Open Day.
We are moving (into a) house! Everything has happened very quickly and it unfortunately clashes with our lovely event. We want to give the event the time and energy it deserves, and we just can’t do that with a house move at the same time. We hope you understand.

If you’ve bought a ticket and/or a workshop place, we will refund you in full shortly. At the moment there are no plans to reschedule, but we will keep you posted. We will miss seeing all your happy faces in our studio and hope to catch up with you soon!
