A large antique dining table standing on four pedestals each with four splay base. This table is a very fine example from one of the best periods of British cabinet making. It has a really fine run of timber with excellent grain pattern. The bases are a good strong construction but designed with delicacy of line which belies their true weight. The turned vase shape column is pleasing to the eye and the turning is sharp. The four splay legs on each pedestal are lovely and long to provide visual as well as actual stability. There are built in lopers so that only one member of staff is needed to install or remove the leaves. The tops can tilt on the bases or can be removed entirely so that the table can be easily moved from room to room or outdoors as necessary. This is a very fine looking and versitle dining table which is very good value for a table of this period size and quality.

Round antique breakfast dining table with column base and standing on four splay base. The pedestal and the platform are pleasingly thin and the feet are crisply carved and nicely restrained. The top tilts in the usual way, the frieze is nice and narrow and the colour is nicely faded, but if you want it darker then that can happen too.

Good early 18th century George I period walnut double dome bureau bookcase. This is a proper early bureau bookcase with separate bookcase, separate desk section and with fully fitted interior including sliding well in the desk. The top has mirror doors to reflect the light from the retractable candle holders and the double doors enclose shelves and drawers with more featherbanding.

Howard and Sons Baring sofa, we have two available at the moment both on the distictive Howard turned leg which are almost a pair. These are very comfortable sofas with the usual down feather cushions over sprung horsehair.

For sale, a Howard and Sons / Howard Chairs Ltd "Bridgewater" sofa, this sofa has the original back cushions but the seat ones have been replaced, the fabric is marked and worn. This is a great model Howard sofa, one of the few which has a raked seat and low arms which makes this model arguably more comfortable than the more expensive high arm models.

Finest quality 18th century oak bookcase with the ealier door with raised panels, great construction and usefully narrow front to back. The shelves are shaped and the timber is smooth and dense grained. This is a very nice bookcase indeed and a very fine example of the period, not a vernacular piece as the timber migth suggest.

Very fine quality antique breakfront bookcase suitable for a grand house drawing room, this is an especially fine example of the earlier Georgian period and it has the attrubites of the period such as fine dense timber, large hand cut dove tails, oak lined drawers, very precise details and panel construction and really good solid bracket feet.

Remarkably good condition Dehillerin 24cm saucepan, this pan has been professionally re-tinned, it has three large rivets, large handle, tear drop shape hanging hole, the stamp would indicate a date of around 1890 acccording to the VFC site. All in all this is a great quality pan made by one of the top Paris brands, the hammer marks from the hand made construction are visble in the reflections, it is proper extra-fort professional grade and it is still in very good shape.

Early 18th century walnut antique collectors cabinet with leather writing surface, the upper opening to a myraid of around fourteen drawers, the base with useful cupboard space. The timber and construction of this cabinet is wonderful, it has book matched or quarter cut veneer with crossbanding on both the inside and the outside of the doors. The handles, hinges and eschtucheons are lovely old brass plate, there are fourteen hinges on the four outer doors and three locking doors in total. The real charm of this sort of early walnut, as well as the colour and patina, is how tactile it is and this piece has a geniune feel of warmth about it.

Pair of 20th century mid century chests of drawers by Herbert E Gibbs, Cat No 816 Job No 3417. This pair of chests are in great condition with just a small peice of veneer missing to the rear corner of the top of one of them. The mirror and raised section can be removed and replaced easily if you want them to be both the same. The timber is a great colour and the metal stringing and handles are in good condition and still straight and true.
