A little introduction to the person behind Peg Creations…

I’m Nicola, a mixed media artist, maker and creative workshop tutor, and a mam. 🎨❤️

From original textured artwork and prints to handmade gifts, quirky creations and creative workshops, I love experimenting with different materials and finding new ways to bring an idea to life.

Over the coming weeks, I’m going to share a little more of the making, the experiments, the finished pieces and the real life behind running a creative little business. I find Facebook so hard to work for my business so I'm going to give it one last go... I think unless you're on your phone 24.7 which I'm really trying not to be boring a one woman band it's so hard to keep up with what they want you to out put... and for what... maybe I'm just crap at marketing? I don't know... but I'm going to try and keep it real instead of QVC...

One of the things I love most about creating textured art is that there’s so much more to it than meets the eye, you can change it and manipulate it to your hearts desire.

The layers, the colours, the little details… they all come together to make something completely unique.

These are some of my original pieces, and I wanted to share a closer look at it with you.

I’m hoping to share more of my original artwork and take my art in some exciting new directions.
I'm painting more with acrylics and water colours. No AI here, what do you think about AI?

Behind the scenes of a small business LIVE… is it giving QVC or am I just talking to myself?! 🤣🎨

Come behind the scenes with me at Peg Creations! 🥰 From showing you festive gifts and original artwork to chatting away and hoping someone pops into the live… this is the reality of being a small business owner!
But I want to know… do you actually enjoy watching small businesses go LIVE and show off their products, a bit like QVC? 👀🛍️ Or would you rather see short videos and reels?

Morning and happy Monday! Kids at school and here is a little peek behind the scenes at Peg Creations 🎨✨... nought flash... just where I paint!

There’s always something happening on this desk I've had for 25 years... yes 25! My dad bought it for me when I was living with them and it's traveled where I go. Sometimes it’s painting, sometimes it’s making, and sometimes it’s me having another idea before I’ve even finished the last one 😂

I thought I’d start sharing a little more of the process, rather than just showing you the finished things.

It’s been a busy week and I’m trying to get organised for the run-up to Christmas without losing the fun of actually making things... yeah right I'm moaning every single second of it. 😂

I’m really grateful to everyone who likes, comments on, shares or buys from my little business. It genuinely makes a difference, even when it might seem like a small thing, especially this time of year when everyone goes head to head... it's scary out there in the retail world...

I’ve been working on getting my original artwork and prints listed on the website, and I’m really pleased to have these available now. ... yes finally!!!

I love creating pieces with lots of colour, layers and texture, and no two originals are quite the same.

I’m thinking of doing my very first Peg Creations Live Sale over on Facebook for along time! 🥰
