We are an independent local yarn store located in the heart of the Norwich Lanes. We are always happy to help with advice on yarn and problem solving.

Ranges include Rowan, Malabrigo, West Yorkshire Spinners, Knit-Pro, Laine and much, much more. A knitters paradise! Norfolk's premier store for hand knitting yarns, felting and spinning equipment. Owned and run by Rebecca Bone with the help of her family, providing an unique collection of hand knitting yarns, Ashford spinning equipment, wool, silk fibres, and now fabrics and sewing threads. We regularly run Knitting, Crocheting and Spinning courses, for all abilities.

Something new on our needles and online! Delicious from bramble & fleece. Straight from the a Yorkshire mill in a beautiful range of colours. Come and visit us to see the whole range. And in our last pic, a little sneak pic of some stunning cashmere that just swooped in…. More to come on that one. And a little pre warning that we’ll be closed Monday 21st for some electrical upgrades to continue our store re design.

September is our sock month! It’s time to start thinking about putting the summer sandals away and cosying up the feet. We’ve been experimenting with using hand dyed multi colours with a plain and just love the effect. And using plain yarn to try out some textured stitch sock patterns. We’ve brought in new ranges of minis in a library of plain colours - and these are perfect for giving contrast toes, heels and cuffs to the self striping sock yarn. Oh. And the other great thing about using September to sock knit…. You’ll be building up some early C……… presents! 🎁

I know we’re not quite into September, but I’m definitely loving the colour trends for AW! A quick reminder too that we’ll be closed on the August Bank Holiday Monday- as always though our website will be open, and orders made over the Bank Holiday weekend will be put together as soon as the holiday is over. Seen here are some current favourites in hues of chocolate, plum/burgundy and green/teals. And a couple of new shades in a favourite yarn to be released mid September 😍. We have Beginners crochet classes, stage 1 and stage 2 starting in September and November. Jess Gallagher is returning to deliver these popular classes. If you’ve been promising yourself a new skill, then take a look on our website (link in bio) and sign up before all the places go! It’s a truly satisfying and mindful craft that will keep you hooked!

This year’s Blanket Course starts next month and we’ve picked a new squishy wool yarn to use. Becky has been working hard to get the new version complete. And it’s a joy! I particularly love the new Cat square. Over the years we’ve seen so many of you move from competent beginners to expert knitters just from this one course. Each square introduces a new technique and there are always bonus squares for those who want a really big blanket. There are a few places left in our monthly Saturday afternoon class. Our ‘New Look’ continues with restocking favourites and ordering in new yarn. Something completely new to us coming very soon! Thank you for the many compliments we’ve had. When you come into the shop, take a pause and just breathe in that wall of colour and squishy yarn - it’s still making my heart beat with joy! And everything you can see is on our website if you’re unable to come in person.

Well, it’s been 2.5 long days of building units, hanging wall boards and moving all our stock! And we’re still not there. Some moves of furniture couldn’t happen as we unearthed issues we need to book skilled tradesmen in to sort out, so still a few more weeks until we have the shop completely re designed. BUT we will open at 12:00 today! Thank you for your patience and we hope you enjoy the new look so far! Oh and please excuse ongoing tidying and sorting!
