There may be a storm on the way ā˜”ļøāš”ļøšŸŒ§ļø but at least there are flowers to brighten your weekend šŸ˜€at Bread Source Upper St Giles and the Bakery Counter. These might be the last local dahlias of the season, or maybe next week, just depends on how rough the storm is. If you’ve got a white nerine in your bunch, just to let you know it’s from Holland but everything else is British grown.

Did you know that as well as lots of little ā€˜pick up and go’ bunches, I can also create beautiful, natural florals for all the occasions in your life? Birthdays, Christmas, celebrations, weddings and farewells, you name it! And wreaths are a specialty!

I use British flowers as much as possible in my work and they are all arranged in water or moss, never floral foam. Do let me know if I can help you with flowers!

Well it may be raining ā˜”ļø cats and dogs this morning but at least there are flowers at Bread Source Upper St Giles and the Bakery Counter to brighten your day šŸ˜€ This week’s flowers feature one of my absolute favourites of the flower year: red nerines, grown in Cornwall.

Nerines are both beautiful and long lasting. They also come in various shades of pink and white but the red ones have the most wonderful luminous, almost neon glow. The time for their availability is quite short, I might be able to get them again next week or they may be over for another year, so if you love them rush down and grab a bunch!

Friday is bakery bunches day Bread Source Upper St Giles Street and the Bakery Counter. Sunset shades of pink, peach, orange and a splash of lemon are the colour palette for this week’s fabulous Norfolk grown flowers. The dahlias are still blooming in abundance but not for too much longer I suspect as it’s starting to get chilly. If you love them, treat yourself to a bunch whilst you can

August is a lovely month to be married. There’s such a great choice of summery blooms for your bouquets and ceremony flowers. Here are Beth’s flowers with fabulous locally grown dahlias, cosmos, scabious, snaps and helichrysum. The church flowers were moved to the reception afterwards which is always a good thing as you get to enjoy them for longer.

If you haven’t booked a florist for your wedding for your winter or spring wedding, I still have some availability for this year through into the spring. Let me know if you’d like to chat all things wedding flowers!

October 1st already! 🧔 I’ve had a few enquiries about autumn wreaths this week so if you’d like one, do let me know.

My autumn wreaths are filled with a beautiful mix of seasonal foliages, seed heads, grasses and flowers. If you’d like flowers included, then just to remind you that flowers will need replacing after a couple of weeks. Don’t forget to keep the moss base moist. I’m keeping the price the same as last year so Ā£50 plus delivery.

All wreaths are made to order and no two are the same. Here’s a few photos of wreaths from autumns past

What could be nicer on a sunny September morning than a little bunch of fabulous, seasonal, Norfolk grown flowers? Bakery bunches are now available Bread Source Upper St Giles and the Bakery Counter. Pick up a bunch when you go for your morning coffee and pastry! šŸ’šŸ„ā˜•ļø A little Friday treat for someone you love!

When you buy local goods, your hard earned cash goes back into the local economy, supporting loads of local companies, enabling them to stay in business and employ local people. It’s a tough time out there for small businesses at the moment so do think about shopping small whenever you can. Just remember, the big online giants don’t really care if you spend your ££ with them or not. Whilst it’s super convenient to have your purchases dropped off at your door anytime, when you shop with a small business, a real person does a happy dance! (It’s a clichĆ© I know but it’s so true!)
