!!!! HANDMADE RETURNS TO SHERWOOD !!!!

At my age, people have been telling me that I should be taking it easy, slowing down a bit and looking forward to retirement.

I say ......... NAAAH!!!!

Instead, Created By Hand is expanding and, if we keep on track, we will be opening up a second shop on Mansfield Road, Sherwood this month.

We have been looking for a suitable second shop for a number of years now and they have either been in the wrong place, needed too much work to get to an acceptable level or just been dangled in front of us, to then be taken away.

But now, the planets have aligned and on 29th August we will be open at 600 Mansfield Road.

We are really excited to be in the hub of creativity in Nottingham, which seems to have been lacking a specific handmade gift shop for a while, so initially we will be promoting local and regional artists work and hope to begin running workshops in Spring 2027

To celebrate this milestone we will be offering a 10% discount on all purchases on the first day of opening. Just take a screen shot of this flier and show it at the till to get your discount.

We also plan to offer a 'Pop Up' space for new and emerging artisans to sell their work for a limited time. Further details coming very soon!!!

We look forward to meeting a whole new group of people who appreciate the love and skill which goes into handmade.

Just over a week left now until our next 'Create Art from Jewellery' workshop with Rachel Chadwick of Upper Glass.

This is the third class Rachel has taken with us here and each one has been fully booked and so it's a rare occurrence that we have x3 morning spaces and x3 afternoons spaces still to fill.

The class will be taking place on Sat 4th July so if you have been 'umming and ahring' about wanting to do the class... be brave and book yourself on. You won't be disappointed !!!

Today is our 12 Year Anniversay (not an April Fool's Joke honest!!!)

It's been difficult to offer customers an online shop due to the uniqueness of handmade gifts but with the cooperation of makers such as David Humphreys Glass, Sharp Turning,, Norman Art, Christina Ann Williams and several other local artists we can now offer a range of the quality handmade gifts, that we are renown for, that you can order form the comfort of your own home.

We have nearly 50 products currently on offer with new makers and new makes expected to be added in the next few weeks.
