At createdbyhand our heart always belongs to supporting local, handmade artists. But this beautiful collection holds a very special connection for us. While these incredible soaps are lovingly made in Anglesey, our very own Dave was actually born there! Bringing a piece of his home turf into our Sherwood and Strelley shops feels like a true full circle moment. ❤️

This Friday is the day when the very talented (and a lovely person) Jackie Ward aka Treehuggery is coming to our Strelley Hall Shop to teach one lucky batch of attendees how to create the quirky (and some how realistic!) hand stitched fabric figurines.

We still have a couple of spaces to fill.

You don't need to be a neat or proficient sewer. Jackie knows all the tricks to create these marvelous little people.

Our Pop Up Maker at Strelley Hall for October is Sarah Camplin Mosaics

Sarah is a mosaic, felting and tapestry weaving artist based in Stapleford

She creates in all these mediums, using bold colours and a variety of textures. Heavily influenced by the softness and colours found in nature, she has also been running creative workshops since 2017.

Mosaics is an artform that Sarah has been working with since attending her first mosaics workshop at Rufford Abbey, in Nottinghamshire over 15 years ago.

This unleashed her creative spirit in the visual arts and developed her passion for Tapestry weaving and Felting (both wet felting and needle felting) during covid and since she has displayed work in local exhibitions and taken commissions.

Sarah is passionate about the creative arts and values the positive impact it can have on reducing social isolation and in increasing self-confidence and general well-being.

If Sarah's works proves to be popular then she could become a full time fixture in the shop so please pop in and let us know what you think
