Hedgehog numbers are in decline. In rural areas, intensive agriculture has led to the fragmentation of habitats such as copses and hedges, resulting in fewer places to nest, hibernate and forage for food. Roads and motorways carve up habitats and create hazards.
😡 The use of pesticides, fungicides and herbicides may be behind the decline in their food, such as caterpillars, beetles and worms.

Here are some ways you can help hedgehogs:

❤️ Create a hedgehog highway: Make gaps in your fences that are 13 cm square to allow hedgehogs to access other gardens.

❤️ Create a wild corner: Leave a part of your garden undisturbed so that hedgehogs can find nesting materials and prey.

❤️ Provide food and water: Leave out food and water for hedgehogs. You can also offer extra food during breeding season and before hibernation. Not milk or pumpkin.

❤️ Make a hedgehog home: Provide a secluded, warm, and dry place for hedgehogs to hibernate and nest in, such as a compost heap or piles of leaves or logs

The British Royal Society has published the results of the analysis, that the temperature on Earth began to rise before the increase in CO2 concentration in the atmosphere, and this is the very reason for the increase in CO2, and not the other way around as climate models suggest.

"All evidence from the analysis suggests a one-way, potentially causal relationship with temperature as a cause and CO2 as an effect"

Scientists firmly claim that climate change can't be attributed to the human factor alone. Moreover, such a suggestion doesn't explain 4.5 billion years of climate change. The authors note that the natural changes in CO2 caused by the rise in temperature are three times greater than the 4% produced by humans.
