Meet the Artist‼️
My name is Katie Faulkner. I am a Nottingham-based painter whose work explores themes of nature, colour contrast, and organic shapes. I work primarily with acrylic paints and photography, experimenting with layers and collage techniques digitally in Photoshop before translating them into physical paintings. This process reflects the nature between digital and traditional art forms. My practice focuses on flowers and greenery, exploring how natural forms can be simplified into expressive shapes and layered compositions. I have participated in several exhibitions, including one at the Surface Gallery, Nottingham and several more the Bonington Building at Nottingham Trent University. I have also collaboratively curated an exhibition at the university.
My plans for the future:
I am currently in my final year at university,
studying for a Bachelor's degree in Fine Art and Design. I aspire to help others through creativity and I aim to become an Art Therapist one day. I am also currently working on setting up my own art business called Kelis which will hopefully be launching soon.
