A little look at what a handful of dried flowers can become.

Wheat, strawflowers, soft bunny tails and pine cones, brought together into a handmade autumn wreath. I love the mix of cream and burgundy in this one, especially against the green wall.

Choosing the flowers is only the beginning. It’s seeing how all the little shapes and textures fit together that’s my favourite part.

A little peek into the things I make at Thread & Bloom.

It’s quite hard to put what I do into one box. One day I’m making dried flower wreaths, the next it’s floral hair pieces, tiny botanical pieces, macramé or something slightly strange and woodland-inspired that I’ve decided needs to exist.

Most of my work starts with flowers, fibres and natural materials, but I love seeing how many completely different things I can make from them. I’m especially drawn to pieces that feel a little wild, imperfect and like they’ve been gathered rather than manufactured.

So here’s 8 seconds of my slightly chaotic collection of botanical making.

Custom wreaths, made a little differently every time.

Each of my wreaths is handmade using a mixture of dried and artificial flowers, foliage and botanical details, with every design taking on its own character as it comes together.

These aren’t mass-produced designs or a collection of identical wreaths sitting on a shelf. Most of my larger wreaths are made to order, so if you’ve seen something you love here, I can create something inspired by it — or we can start completely from scratch.

Woodland and wild, soft and floral, colourful, seasonal or something that feels completely like you.

Happy Mabon!

With today being Mabon, it felt like a pretty fitting time to announce that Thread & Bloom will be at the Samhain Nottingham Pagan Market in Sneinton on 31st October.

I’ve been making loads behind the scenes ready for my upcoming markets, so here’s a little look at some of what you can expect. Dried flower wreaths, witches bells, hair accessories, macramé, dried flower bouquets, spell jars, lavender bags and lots of other little botanical bits.

A lot of my work is one of a kind and made from dried and natural materials, so no two pieces are ever quite the same.

I’m particularly excited for the Pagan Market and have been working on plenty of autumnal and slightly witchier pieces especially for it.

Since launching my Etsy, these little mini wreaths have quickly become one of everyone’s favourites 🌿✨

I completely understand why — they’re such a lovely way to add a natural, cosy touch to your home, and every single one is handmade with care using dried florals and natural textures.

Seeing how much people love them has also made me realise what a beautiful community workshop activity they would be. Imagine spending an afternoon learning how to create your own wreath, getting creative, meeting new people, and making something genuinely special to take home 🤍

Building creative spaces where people can learn, make, and connect is something I’m really passionate about, and I’d love to grow more workshops within the community over the coming months.

Bloom Together has always been about creating, connecting, and making space for people to come together 🌿

Everything I make comes from that place—and now it’s growing into something more.

I’ve launched **By Thread & Bloom** on Etsy 🤍

I’ll be creating made-to-order wedding and event florals—bouquets, details, and pieces designed to feel personal, thoughtful, and lasting. I work mainly with high-quality artificial and preserved florals, focusing on shape, texture, and creating something that holds its feeling long after the day itself.

A big part of this is that the shop helps support Bloom Together. A portion of what I make will go back into running more community workshops and creative sessions around Nottingham.

So every order helps keep that going 🌿

🌸 Bloom Together for Women’s Health 🌸

Take some time for yourself this International Women’s Day and join Thread & Bloom for a special Bloom Together workshop, delivered in partnership with Nottingham Women’s Centre.

On 7th March, we’ll be creating beautiful floral buttonholes in a relaxed, welcoming space — a chance to slow down, connect with others, and celebrate strength, care, and community through creativity.

Using the language of flowers, you’re invited to share your story, your experiences, or simply what care and wellbeing mean to you. For anyone who wishes, there will also be the opportunity to share thoughts that could help shape more comfortable and inclusive women’s healthcare.

No pressure, no expectations — just a gentle space to create, reflect, and connect.
