🍳 Steak & Eggs with Avocado Recipe
Ingredients
4 oz (113g) sirloin steak, cut into bite-size chunks or strips
3 large eggs
¼ avocado, sliced
1 tablespoon butter, divided
Salt, to taste
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
That's the entire ingredient list. No culinary scavenger hunt required. 😄
👩🍳 Method
1. Prepare the steak. Cut the sirloin into bite-size chunks or strips and season lightly with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
2. Fry the eggs. Heat ½ tablespoon butter in a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Crack in the three eggs and fry until cooked to your preferred doneness. For the photo-style presentation, keep the yolks golden and the whites fully set.
3. Cook the steak. Meanwhile, heat the remaining ½ tablespoon butter in a second frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the steak pieces in a single layer and cook until nicely browned on the outside and cooked to your preferred doneness.
4. Slice the avocado. Cut ¼ avocado into thin slices.
5. Build the plate. Arrange the steak and three fried eggs on a serving plate. Fan the avocado slices alongside them and finish with freshly ground black pepper.
Serve immediately while the steak and eggs are hot. 🥩🍳

🌶️ Optional Toppings
If you'd like to dress the plate up without changing the core recipe, try a little chopped parsley, chilli flakes, smoked paprika or freshly cracked black pepper.
For readers who aren't following a lower-carbohydrate eating pattern, wholegrain toast or roasted potatoes can turn it into a larger brunch.
