AMAZING things are happening on Mill Street, Oakham ...... an incredible anamorphic 3D image of the The Rutland Sea Dragon™ is being created by world renowned street artist Julian Beever. This fantastic artwork is based on the Ichthyosaur fossil discovered by Joe Davis and excavated by Dean Lomax at nearby Rutland Water, the largest UK example of a sea predator from the dinosaur age.
The drawing is on Mill Street, Oakham for the next 3 days so why not pop into Oakham over the weekend and come and see this incredible work of art. Located outside Creme Hair and Beautyand opposite Katie Cardew it's an ideal opportunity to enjoy a coffee, have a bite to eat and visit the great range of independent shops on Mill Street.
Julian was commissioned by us, The Mill Street Traders Association, a group of business owners working together to promote the area following the Covid lockdowns.
As you can see it's going to be amazing - definitely something to come and see. Kids will love it!.
