Last week we were entrusted to carry out Marie's last journey. Family and friends gathered at Christ Church Harpurhey on a sunny Thursday morning to share their memories and readings from the Bible, before heading over to Blackley Crematorium for a committal service. Photos were played reflecting on Marie's big personality and at the end a very comical video Marie had made was played, creating a ripple of laughter in a way only Marie could do.

As always it's been an absolute privilege for us to care for this much loved and missed Mum, Sister, Grandma and friend to many. We did have the pleasure of briefly meeting Marie a couple of years ago at another service we did for the family. Thank you to this lovely family for entrusting us once again with something so important. Rest In Peace Marie x

One of the most common things we hear from families is, "I thought I'd be feeling better by now."

The truth is that grief is different for everyone. There is no right or wrong way to grieve, and there is no timetable for healing.

Some days may feel easier than others. Special dates, familiar places, or unexpected memories can bring emotions to the surface, even many years later.

If you are grieving, remember:

When Eternal Family Funerals first opened its doors, we had a simple aim: to provide families with the kind of care we would want for our own loved ones.

Over the last two years, weโ€™ve had the privilege of supporting hundreds of local families through some of lifeโ€™s most difficult moments. Weโ€™ve shared tears, listened to stories, held hands when words werenโ€™t enough, and helped create meaningful farewells for those who meant so much.

We may not be the biggest funeral director in the area, but we are proud to remain independent, family-run, and committed to treating every family as individuals rather than a number.
