This is Nigel Humphrey, a Co Tyrone dad-of-four who's racing against the clock having been given the heartbreaking diagnosis of a terminal brain tumour 😢
The 40-year-old has been unable to carry out everyday tasks, work or drive since receiving the diagnosis in March last year.
After it was initially believed to be a low-grade tumour, Nigel was given the devastating news in April that it had progressed further and was now a grade four glioblastoma which has not responded to radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
The devoted father was told there were no further treatment options available and has been referred to the palliative care team.
His family is now seeking to raise £110,000 to fund advanced overseas treatment in a fight to give Nigel more time.
"Nigel is too good to just give up on, he is independent and tries to do things for himself," Nigel's sister Amanda said.
"He is struggling a bit with his speech at the moment but is determined to keep fighting. Since we set up the GoFundMe campaign he has been so positive to everyone around him."
