There’s something special about Drawn… ✨

Today at the Flaxmill in Shrewsbury has been one of those days that just fills your cup.
The atmosphere, the people, the little moments in between… it’s never just a market.

A huge thank you to for her vision, not just for creating a market, but for nurturing something so much bigger… a joyful, friendly and genuinely supportive community of makers and the loveliest visitors.

Add in the cool sounds from the resident DJ, the most incredible historic setting (honestly… what a backdrop for all of our hopes and dreams), and it just feels a bit magic ✨

And to everyone I chatted to, laughed with, and who chose to take a little piece of Sister Sister home today… thank you. Truly. You’ll never quite know how much each purchase means 💛

The best kind of Sunday? One spent at Drawn ✨

I’ll be at Drawn at the Flaxmill, Shrewsbury on Sunday 26th April and I honestly can’t wait.

This one is always such a jo, full of the loveliest atmosphere, the most incredible makers and designers, and (very importantly) the best street food 😋

It’s also dog friendly, so bring your four-legged friends along for a wander too 🐾

I absolutely love these days… chatting, meeting you in real life, and sharing all the little pieces I’ve been working on.

🎄 Things to do when your Christmas markets are over… 🎄
✅ Change out of 47 festive jumpers
✅ Finally unpack the tetris of bubble wrap
✅ Say a very big thank you to the loveliest customers ever 🤍
✅ Switch straight into Christmas order mode
✅ Book in crafternoons + friend catch-ups (non-negotiable)
✅ Pretend you’re “resting” while absolutely not resting

Honestly, thank you from the bottom of my heart to every single one of you who came to visit me at my stalls this season. The chats, the laughter, the kindness, I’ll never take it for granted 🤍

Huge shout out to the absolute Queen of Drawn. Cherie has created more than a market, she’s created a small business community, with just the best vibes and I’m so grateful to have been a part of it.

👋 Hi, I’m Sarah, the illustrator & ceramicist behind Sister Sister.

I’ve always loved creating, painting, drawing and turning little ideas into keepsakes. For years I ran a High Street gift shop, but in 2018 I took the leap to focus fully on my own brand. Now I design and hand-paint ceramics, pins, charms and illustrated gifts from my home studio on the Shropshire/Welsh border.

Last year I stepped back a little while recovering from breast cancer treatment and now I’m so happy to be back creating, designing and packing orders with the help of my lovely family (and a few furry studio assistants 🐾).

This weekend I’m excited to be part of Super Seconds Festival, a huge online event where makers offer perfectly imperfect pieces, ex-display items and end-of-line stock at up to 50% off. Thank you to everyone who visited me at Drawn last weekend at The Flaxmill Maltings in Shrewsbury, I had the best time serving customers and chatting to other Stallholders. It really is the friendliest market.
