Meet Christina Young – CEO of Rug Nurse
Hello, and welcome to Rug Nurse!
My name is Christina Young, and I am the CEO of Rug Nurse. My work is my passion, and I take great pride in helping our clients care for, preserve and restore their treasured rugs and carpets.
We proudly work with clients throughout the UK, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and the EU, as well as Marbella, Puerto Banús, Estepona and the surrounding areas of Spain.
At Rug Nurse, we specialise in the professional cleaning, repair and restoration of antique and contemporary rugs and carpets. Whether you have a small, medium or large rug, or an exceptionally large, oversized carpet, we are here to help. Oversized rugs and carpets are one of our specialities, and we are proud to offer an extensive selection of traditional, antique and contemporary rugs in a wide range of sizes.
A passion that began at the age of 13
My journey began when I was just 13 years old, working alongside my uncle, Patrick Young. He introduced me to the wonderful world of rugs and carpets and guided me through every stage of the process.
I spent countless hours watching him clean, repair and restore rugs, often from morning until night. I learnt not only the skills of the trade but also the importance of patience, dedication, craftsmanship and treating every rug with care and respect.
My uncle believed in me from the very beginning. He once told me that one day I would be successful, and that he would guide me and always be my guardian.
Those words have stayed with me throughout my journey. His knowledge, guidance and belief in me helped shape the person I am today and the business I am so proud to lead.
