Forest Hill Flowers Hi there, I'm Agnes - your local florist from Oxfordshire. Let's celebrate seasonal changes with a dose of floral happiness.

Born and raised by green fingered parents who owned a small family flower business. From a young age I have felt the urge to be in the wild, appreciate natures gifts and savour seasonal changes. After finishing journalism studies and navigating through the wild marketing jungle for almost 10 years, I’m finally answering my true calling – being a florist. My ongoing love affair with flowers for all these decades alongside with numerous floristry courses have led me to this walk of life, which fills me inside out and enables to awaken the artist within. My designs are inspired by the seasonal shifts that are happening in the nature and within our lives. I believe that we must celebrate and nurture these changes by fulfilling our daily lives with the help of delicate beauty that flowers may bring. MY STYLE
I prefer not to label my work to a specific style, but nature and seasonal flowers have always had a special place in my heart. I always tend to put something in my arrangements that come from my garden or my surroundings, whether it is a branch of blackberries, sweet pea tendrils, wild rosehips, or scented herbs. However, if I must name a style, then probably it is closer to garden and botanical floral design. EVERYDAY LIFE

If you don’t find me in my workshop, I’m probably out and about with my little one and my husband enjoying muddy puddles, seeking adventures on our hikes, or having a forest therapy if the creative block kicks in.

What an amazing wedding we had back in July! A relaxed, garden-style celebration where everything was beautifully planned, with Jessica’s vision and attention to detail shining through every element.

My job was to add a little flower magic to bring it all together, using seasonal, locally grown flowers and greenery. But what made this wedding truly special was the teamwork behind it all.

From the mums growing flowers especially for the day, to the bridesmaids foraging greenery to make the marquee hoops lush and beautiful, everyone got involved. We arranged bud vases together, and the groom and groomsmen helped carry the milk churns into place!

It felt less like work and more like being part of one big family, all working together to create something beautiful. A relaxed, festival-like atmosphere that I’ll remember for a long time.

And that’s what I love most about weddings like this: teamwork. Your florist isn’t just there to deliver flowers, but to work with you, your ideas and your people to bring your vision to life.

So thank you, Jess & Robbie, for trusting me with yours 🤍

What a glorious beginning to autumn we’re having. 🍂🍁

I’m absolutely in love with these warm, sun-filled days followed by cosy evenings. I’ll confess… the first candles are already being lit, the autumnal decor is slowly making its way around the house, and even the front door has had its seasonal makeover.

For this wreath, I used a beautiful mix of garden-grown strawflowers, poppy seed heads and amaranthus, alongside foraged bracken, rosehips and other little treasures from nature. I’ve added eucalyptus, pistache leaves and preserved beech, and, of course, finished it all off with velvet ribbons.

If you’d like one for your own front door, send me a message or visit my webshop to order — link in bio ☝🏻

And now I’m off to finish a book, The Well-Gardened Mind, which I highly recommend if you’re interested in horticulture and how tending to your garden and plants are connected to your mental wellbeing.

What are your autumn must-haves or little rituals to welcome the autumn season? 🍂🍁
