Meet the Team: Reece Bannon, our Fabricator Foreman.

A master of his trade, Reece knows his way around a bit of aluminium better than most people know their way around a supermarket. Standards are high, shortcuts are forbidden, and if something isn't right, you can guarantee hell spot it!

We asked Reece, If you were a car, what would you be and why?

Reece asked if he could be any other vehicle and reckoned he'd be a JCB telehandler because they're big, heavy-duty, and built for graft.

A true workshop legend, keeping standards high, the lads in line, and the local takeaway in business.

Another repair completed in Penryn!

Our team were recently called out to Rowes in Penryn to carry out a repair to their commercial double doors, getting everything back working as it should.

As always, our experienced service team got the job sorted quickly and professionally… although we’re not entirely convinced the promise of a pasty (or two) didn’t have something to do with the visit!

Next up in our Meet the Team series is our Business Development Manager, Dave Pepperell

Dave is the one you’ll often find out and about meeting customers, visiting businesses, building relationships, looking for new opportunities and generally trying to convince people that windows and doors are far more exciting than they probably thought!

Dave also plays a big part in managing customer expectations, maintaining relationships, supporting the team and making sure the Prolux brand is represented properly.

When he’s not talking windows, doors and opportunities, Dave can usually be found spending time with his family, watching Arsenal, playing golf or attempting to justify why another coffee meeting is actually very important for business development.

We asked Dave, If you were a car, what car would you be and why?

"Probably a Range Rover, Respectable enough for business, but there's definitely a mischievous side.''

Dave is all about people. Whether that’s a customer, a member of the Prolux team or someone he’s just met for the first time, he believes that being genuine, building good relationships and simply being nice goes a long way.

MEET THE TEAM – RICH LAMMAS

Next up in our Meet the Team series is Rich, our Storeman and one of the people who helps keep everything moving behind the scenes at Prolux Windows & Doors.

Rich plays a pretty important role in keeping the operation running smoothly, keeping track of stock, making sure the fitting teams are loaded up with everything they need, taking in deliveries and generally making sure the right bits end up in the right place at the right time.

And if you've ever wondered how we manage to keep track of all the windows, doors, glass, hardware and hundreds of other bits and pieces that come through Prolux… Rich probably knows where it is!

Of course, we couldn't let Rich escape without asking the all important question:

If you were a car, what car would you be and why?

Rich's answer?

A Robin Reliant. 😂 It might only have three wheels, but it's practical, economical, surprisingly capable and, most importantly, it keeps going and gets the job done.

We reckon that's a pretty accurate description of Rich too, although thankfully, unlike a Robin Reliant, Rich doesn't need to be pushed up the hills!

A stunning project completed for at Truro school.

This time, we supplied and installed Decowall cladding with powder coated trims in Khaki Grey, creating a clean, modern finish that works perfectly within the school environment.

The powder coated trims give the installation that extra level of detail, providing a crisp, consistent finish around the Decowall panels while keeping everything looking smart and built to last.

A great example of how the right combination of materials, colour and finishing details can make a real difference to the overall look of a project.

MEET THE TEAM – Lee.

This week, we’re introducing Lee, our surveyor here at Prolux.

Lee has been working in the window and door industry for an impressive 21 years, so it’s fair to say he’s built up a serious wealth of knowledge over the years. From understanding products and specifications to knowing what works on site, there isn’t much Lee hasn’t come across!

When he’s not got his Prolux shirt on, you’ll probably find him supporting Liverpool or putting on the boots for St Agnes Veterans FC.

Of course, we couldn’t introduce Lee without asking one of our favourite questions…

If you were a car, what car would you be?

Lee’s answer?

“I’d be a vintage Porsche 911, was fast, but not so much anymore.”

21 years in the industry… a vintage Porsche… we’re starting to see where this is going.

Thankfully, unlike the Porsche, Lee’s knowledge hasn’t slowed down!

With two decades of experience behind him, Lee is a huge asset to the Prolux team and brings a wealth of experience to every project he surveys.

A lot of hard work happens behind the scenes!

At Prolux Windows & Doors, our fabrication team take raw materials and turn them into high quality aluminium windows and doors, right here in Cornwall.

From cutting and machining through to assembly and finishing, every stage is carried out with care, precision and attention to detail by our experienced team.

Keeping fabrication in house means that we have greater control over quality, lead times and the finished product, ensuring what leaves our workshop is ready to perform when it reaches site.
