It always amazes me how quick we learn when we are this little. Sorrel Moon Molly is only just turn 3 last 7weeks ago. She is confident, fast,inventive,energetic, fiesty, independent and funny. She will be teaching me before long with all the things she creates. She’ll be pushing boundries and changing things up that’s for sure and this is where change begins. Go Sorrel!!

It’s been a hot dry summer and the seed pods are already on their way. Inspired by them when I last glazed. This is a chun ash glaze that I make from wood ash from our woodburner mixed with potash feldspar and clay. It can vary from the different woods you burn. I’ve kept some buddlea ash separate and it will be exciting to see what colour comes through when it’s fired.

8oz flat white…. Perhaps on the larger flat white size but I could always just have another last sip when it’s coffee and then feel ready to climb that mountain!! 😄. I can make 6oz cups but you’re all choosing this one more it seems… I’m happy to make to order in fact I love to make to order!

14oz large blue mug. There are a good few of you lovers of blue,I hear you 😊 and so there will be a few blue pieces popping up now and then.Thanks to Chris Penny Ceramics for sharing his glaze recipe. I have tweaked it slightly and added a little copper carbonate and added less of the cobalt. It’s a more subtle blue mixed with a dapple of grey/silver.
