🌈 My colour loving alt brides 🌈

Envision this hair pin at some explosion of colour wedding. I’m considering adding more, but I’m a sucker for not knowing when enough is enough. I’m a more is more kinda girl, we always vote overboard.

Flowers that withstand the tiny (yet very strong and aggressive) touchy touchy fingers.

Throughout the set up of this table my wee boy kept repeatedly saying ‘ooo I love these flowers mummy.’ This guy just looooves crafts. He’s such a boys boy, but when it comes to crafts he’s kinda gentle? And beads and my bead spinner are up there on the top toy list. 🤣

What is it with kids and just loving all the things that aren’t actually for them?

The goal: to be as resilient as a poppy.

Seeing these beautiful pops of red and orange standing tall amongst litter ridden streets, just fills my heart with joy. Nature always finds a way.

P.s Poppy has always been my top name for a baby girl 🥹

A little prototype whipped up during the breakfast chaos.🌸

Why is it the creativity surge comes at the most random times? Just washing the dishes, listening to the wiggles and this idea just creeps in. No time to video process, or make a clean space, I just grabbed a flower, shaped it and chopped up (one of the hundred thousand) political leaflets to make a table number card and tada!

I think for round one, this is super cute. The flowers are gonna have to be minimal styles due to the weight of the glass beads. It’s also quite small in size, maybe like 5 inches? I don’t know if that adds to the whimsy or if it would be better larger.

Not my usual colour palette of choice, however, I’m trying to get a nice variety to show off when I’m at markets.

I found this colour palette on pinterest and I just had to match the lemon yellow and teal blue, super summery with a fruity fresh feeling.

What outrageous colour combo next?
I’m working on an anthurium with is a bubble gum pink, with pops of green.

That no matter how easy or simple the idea is, there’s always gonna be a heap of prep. Especially if you’re an aesthetics girly - which I’m a sucker for a pretty table.

Now I’m not an organised person, I’m a wing it kinda gal. But for art events, especially when you change location for each one, you can’t afford that. So for about a week in advance I rack my brains for what I’m gonna need and make a list. I tend to pack everything on the day of the event and refer to my list as I go. I also love to leave the jobs I can’t stand until the day of too because why be toooo prepared you know?

Hence why I’m here filling up paint balloons for darts 4 hours before kick off ✨✨

A beaded boutonniere, something a little less traditional ✨

I’m slowly exploring more pieces for weddings and events with all the super exciting opportunities I have coming later this year and next 👰‍♀️

Sucker for a good spot of pink 🌸🌺🌸

My tools are pink, the bowls I work out of are pink and the table cloth I use if I’m being faaaancy is obviously… pink.

I’m now beginning to wonder if there’s such a thing as pink floral tape as maybe my flower stems should be pink too 😅 maybe to much, maybe not though…. 🌸🌺
