About me

I thought it was about time for me to introduce myself to you all. My name is Alena and I run my little business called Little friends by Alena.

I crochet toys called amigurumi. As a child I used to spend all my summer holidays with my grandma. She lived in a little village and so to keep us busy in the evenings we would sit at the kitchen table knitting and crocheting. I have very fond memories of those evenings 😊 My grandma is soooo talented and passionate she passed that passion for crafts onto me. I will forever be grateful for everything she taught me. These days (as we live so far away from each other) we frequently call each other to discuss our latest makes 😀

I find crocheting incredibly relaxing. Every evening when my two kids go to bed is the time I get my crochet hook out, put a Netflix movie on and enjoy a calm and creative evening.

I work at hospital where I see people in pain, distress, sad, dying....and I am not going to lie without crocheting these things would probably affect me more. But when you create something with your own hands you have this beautiful feeling of accomplishment. So if any of you have loads on your mind and you want to catch a break, I highly recommend trying crocheting (or knitting) or any kind of craft really 😀 It will keep your hands and mind busy which will provide you with a little break ❤️

But if you are not good at crafting, there is always me so if you fancy a present for your children or children of your friends, get in touch and I will happily help you 😊
