While Roman blinds remain the top item I make the most of, I also make curtains!

These black and white curtains made such a dramatic 🖤 difference to my customers bedroom - fabric & lining! Last on the list, they’d been managing for many years with some light coloured curtains with standard lining and the morning sun back in early summer was waking them up early ☀️.
The new curtains have worked a treat 😴 and also helped with those heatwaves!

Let’s talk about the single Romans I also make! This time the customer found their own fabric which quite honestly was 🙌 a winner and went beautifully with her scheme 💚.

Double layering up with her existing shutters and blackout lined keeping the room not only dark, but cool in the summer 🌞 and warm in the winter 🥶.

Customer covered her ottoman and made a cushion for the bed pulling everything together 👌.

So many projects come and go without remembering to post them! I have lots of photos to share …

First up these stripe blinds 💚 I love making striped Romans! Something so satisfying about how they line up. A lot of 🤔 thought and careful measuring goes in to create beautiful even Roman blinds.

These 3 were made to ensure the blind could sit above the recess (in this case doors in a bedroom that opened inwards), they had to be clear of the door without it floating on the wall above).

💚 love this bright chunky leaf pattern 🍃
A wide Roman blind coupled with a pair of curtains with inverted pleats. It’s a single pleat curtain but the pleats are sewn in backwards rather than forwards.

🩶 Yesterday’s fitting was the final one, fitting the 2 Roman blinds in the lounge. The plain grey fabric matched the customers original curtains they moved with. Loving the ochre accent colour which really elevates the look and feel of the room.
Roman blinds are made by me in my workroom - no visible stitching to the front of my blinds and sewn mainly by hand not machine!

Two sets of vertical blinds 🧡 in this amber colour brought a pop of colour and a warm glow to their grey kitchen. Sooo many colours to choose from for vertical and roller blinds.

And Sparkly roller blinds in the bathroom add a touch of magic especially at night ✨

Covering a curtain pole isn’t normally what I suggest but this is the look my customers wanted for these dress curtains.

Double pleat heading with the hook positioned further down to cover the pole. This means the flat part inbetween that normally sits below the pole pushes that space forward creating an extra pleat. I think it really works with this fabric and it’s so pretty 😍 🌷
