WOW! I am thrilled to share Mama Makes | Journalling & Craft Supplies ✂️✨ won the Arts and Creative Business category at The Small Business Awards™️ and received Highly Commended in the Retail category! 🏆

It’s such an incredible honour to be chosen amongst lots of other amazing businesses and to have so much lovely feedback from the judges about our products and community events. Thank you to Laura Steele and everyone involved for a brilliant evening celebrating small businesses.

I absolutely could not have done this without my amazing customers, my husband and my fab friends, thank you for believing in me, especially when I haven’t believed in myself. 🥰

A very special thank you to our lovely crafting community who join our monthly Coffee & Create and Make & Mingle events, and to The Hive and Starbucks UK Hampton for giving us a space to connect and create.

Receiving these awards on World Mental Health Day felt particularly fitting as crafting is so good for our mental wellbeing, giving ourselves time to slow down and connect with others. Bringing people together through creativity is really what Mama Makes is all about. 💚

Mama Makes turns 10 next year, and this feels like the perfect way to celebrate a decade of craft and community! Thank you for being part of it. ✨

So be honest - What’s missing from the Journal Mate? 👀

In 2022, we launched our acrylic journalling tools and this is one we can’t keep in stock - but we think it’s time to improve it. We made it to take the measuring, counting and guesswork out of dot grid journaling. But we think it’s time to take it to the next level.

Is there a stencil shape you keep wishing it had? A measurement you always have to work out yourself? Something about the original or the Mini that annoys you?

Tell us in the comments, be as specific (and honest!) as you can. Your ideas could help shape what we make next! We design tools that make things easier for our community. So what would make the Journal Mate work better for you? We’re listening. 👇🏼
