Which one would you prefer? I ended up with the black one, which is with me for nearly a year now. And it’s not so pitch black anymore, but more washed and aged with everyday use. Still, my favourite 🥰

Fermented fig leaf tea recipe 🍃

Pick young fig leaves, wash and dry them well. Tear by hand, rub between your palms to release the juice, and pack tightly into a glass jar.

Cover with a damp natural-fabric cloth and leave somewhere warm for 24+ hours, until the grassy smell turns into a pleasant fruity, nutty aroma. Stir occasionally.

Spread the leaves on a baking tray and dry at 40–45°C for about 3 hours, until completely dry.

Store in a dry jar and enjoy 🍵🌿

You never know what you’ll find in the morning fields. We’ve met a deer, scared by a tractor, witnessed the early morning corn harvesting and picked up the fishing line with a hook that some fishermen might have lost.

But generally, I find my days way more productive and full of energy when I do early mornings. I call it “morning barakah” (morning blessing), because in Islamic tradition early hours of morning are the blessed ones when God gives to those who seek His blessings and help.

Я знала, що це буде село, а не великий курорт, і саме цього і очікувала. Але… Я ніяк не очікувала цього 😮

Виявилось, що пляж в Чірали є природоохоронною зоною, бо тут гніздяться морські черепахи Caretta Caretta🐢

І тому:
- з 21:00 по 6:00 вхід на пляж заборонений🚫
- На пляжі немає освітлення, будь-якого шуму та вібрацій📛
- Лежаки не можна ставити ближче ніж 50 м від води.

Все для того, аби не злякати черепашок, які відкладаюсь яйця. А потім, не розчавити та не збити зі шляху малечу, яка біжить до води вночі🌙

Волонтери ставлять навколо гнізд металеву огорожу, та датують їх. Це допомагає встановити орієнтовну дату закінчення інкубаційного періоду та спрогнозувати, коли зʼявляться черепашенята.

І от малеча виходить на світ, але не вся одразу, а хвилями і здебільшого вночі.
Волонтери спостерігають за їхніми слідами та коли через декілька днів їх стає менше, то гнізда відкривають.

Роблять це, аби допомогти тим, хто вже вилупився, але чомусь ще не виліз назовні, а також порахувати загальну кладку та зафіксувати кількість яєць та черепашенят, що нажаль, не вижили 🥚

Малечу волонтери забирають для дослідження та відпускають їх в перше плавання вночі ✨
Мені пощастило прийняти участь в цьому дійстві за запрошенням волонтерів🥹

Чому вночі? 🌠
Тому що тоді шанс вижити в них більший, аніж за денного світла. Бо вдень вони легша здобич. Ці малюки не можуть пірнати перші 2 тижні свого життя та пливуть на поверхні.

❓Чому це все важливо?
Лише приблизно 1 з 1000 черепашенят виживає в битві з природою та з людським впливом. І вперше повертається на той самий берег лише через 20-25 років для продовження роду. І вони на межі вимирання…

Lightweight, soft to the touch, and soooo tender. One of a kind, guys, as I’ve got a tiny piece of this linen left, and it won’t be enough for another one. I’ve decided to go with hand-finished cuffs and sleeve splits here because they look more delicate. Lots of hours of work went into this piece. 👐🏻🫶🏻

Making notes about what I want to sew when I’m back from my non forgettable holiday. I know that I’m a bit late everywhere - for summer styles because the summer is at its final stage now, and for autumn because normally you have to plan for it much earlier. But I’ll forgive myself for this lack of planning and organisation this time and hopefully will find a way to organise myself better in the future 😅 #ллянасорочкаукраїна

Over the years, I’ve realised that I always keep my toiletries (and often my clothes) in linen bags. As someone who usually travels with just a backpack, I love keeping everything organised without taking up extra space.

That’s why I created my Traveller Sets. You can choose a ready-made set or build your own. For example, I like keeping my toothbrush and miswak together, my crystal deodorant in its own bag, and hanging them wherever I stay to keep it clean, and easy to find.

I’m also a passionate forager, so my linen bags are often filled with herbs, flowers, and plants for storing. Linen is naturally breathable, and the drawstrings make them easy to hang in the pantry.

And if you bake sourdough like I do, there are Sourdough Sets too - bowl covers for fermentation and bread bags that help keep your loaf fresh for longer (tested in my own kitchen!).

Summer Checks ☀️
There’s something so sunshiny about this linen 🥰

I’m wearing the Traveller Shirt in S/M (my usual size for this model), which corresponds to UK 8–10. I’ve paired it with the Fun Linen Pants. My usual size is UK 6–8, and these are 8–10, but I wanted to show them to you anyway because they still look great. Hopefully, I’ll make a pair in my size soon so you can get a better idea of the fit.

I believe that linen pieces don’t need to be replaced without a good reason. They soften, fade, and … stay.

Time leaves its mark in the fabric, and in the moments they’ve been part of 🕰️

Час залишає свої відбитки на тканині і разом з тим - відбитки моментів життя, частиною яких вони була 🕰️🌿
