I am not the same person I was before my son left this world.

Love that deep changes you forever.

There are pieces of me that went with him, and there are pieces of me that survived because of him.

I still laugh.

I still dream.

I still keep going.

But I do it as someone who knows what it means to miss a child with every part of their heart.

And even through the pain, I remain proud to be his parent.

That will never change.
