Depending on your bus, either disembark on Queen Street between St Peters St and Backgate and walk back to towards the courthouse and it is on the left opposite Justrite, or if the bus stops in Backgate, turn left into Queen St by the Cross Keys and follow same instructions.
General information
The Knit Hoose is a small family run business owned by Linda but because of her medical problems after a couple of strokes, she is aided by her daughters Paula and Denise and her granddaughters Carole and Lauren who all do their bit in running the shop. Tony, her husband helps in the winter when his fishing tackle shop is quiet and now also keeps the accounts for her. The business was established in July 2010 when Unique 2 U decided to close its door and since starting up, the Wool Shop has stopped selling wool to concentrate on their Wedding gear only, leaving the Knit Hoose the only specialist wool and haberdashery in the town.
