Welcome to Bishops Beds
We are a well-established British manufacturer and supplier dedicated to one thing: a better night’s sleep. Based in Peterlee, County Durham, our family-run company has spent over 20 years building a reputation for high-quality manufacturing paired with a personal, local service ethic. We are proud to operate across two primary sectors, bringing our expertise to both large-scale projects and individual homes. Contract & Commercial Excellence
In the contract furniture market, we have become a trusted partner for some of the UK’s largest institutions. We are particularly well-known for our work in:
• Education: We proudly supply nearly 90% of universities in the UK and Ireland with durable, long-lasting bedroom solutions.
• Hospitality & Healthcare: We provide bespoke, fire-rated (Source 5) mattresses and frames specifically designed for the rigorous demands of hotels, hostels, and care homes. Retail & Bespoke Craftsmanship
For our retail customers, we offer a massive selection of sleep products through our Peterlee showroom. Whether you are looking for traditional divans, modern ottomans, or the convenience of a "mattress-in-a-box," we have a solution to suit every style and budget. Because we manufacture our own products right here in County Durham, we aren't limited by "standard" sizes. We can offer:
• Made-to-measure mattresses and frames built to your exact specifications.
• Custom upholstery options to ensure your bed is a perfect reflection of your personal style. At Bishops Beds, we don't just sell beds, we craft the foundation for a good night's rest.
